Anyone here purchase the dak knight "prop-set" from the noble collection?

You know. The one with the Batarang, Joker cards, Harvey Dent button and (infamous) Two-Face coins? (Yeah, yeah...I know...it's probably cheap and crappy and whatnot, but I'd STILL love to see some real honest-to-goodness actual pictures of the thing, as opposed to the "doctored" overly beautified photos like the one above from The Noble Collection's website.) For some reason, every time I see it, I can't help but think that it has potential, and would look kind of cool as the wall-mounted centerpiece of a "Dark Knight" set-up,..even if that meant mostly just using the case itself, and substituting more screen-accurate props for some of the "less appealing" ones, (i.e. the coins). So has anybody here gotten one yet? Don't be ashamed...show yourself!:) We promise not to judge you...(too harshly).:angel

I didn't buy the set, but I did get the stand alone Batarang. I think it's cool. It's solid metal, and detachable from the shadow box type frame. The frame opens up with hinges, and I had to unscrew the two top holding brackets to get the Batarang out. The window is not glass (it's plastic) although it appears to be. But, it's not like we buy these things for frame anyways. The Batarang itself has a hinge so it can fold in half and held together by magnets. Overall it is a great display piece. I think it's cool.

Thanks for the info chrs24. I've seen pictures of the stand-alone Batarang, and was planning on getting one, which is what got me into considering "uping the ante" and getting the full display that includes the Batarang along with the other stuff. I'm curious to find out if the Batarang that comes with the "Prop-Set" is the exact same one that comes alone in its own display case. Hopefully somebody here can let me know for sure.

I thought about buying the noble two face coin but apparently its not as good as the picture suggests. Also the Bank Heist mask looks very different on different sites. I've heard the cowl is supposed to be bang on though

just get the batarang - you can get just as good cards (or better) here, and I know the coin is garbage. Its just painted black on one side, and has "COPY" stapmed into it.

Thanks for the replies, guys. Yeah, I know that the coins, (and probably the cards too for that matter) are sub-par, but it's really the display case and the background art that I'm interested in, and thus, why I'd like to see some real photos of the actual item. (I know that "NOBLES" own publicity photos can't be trusted). In fact, I already own some really good Two-Face coins, Joker cards and that Harvey Dent button, so if the props that came with the set weren't any good, no big loss. I just want a cool way to display the stuff that I already have. The only two things that I'm really interested in are the Batarang, (is it the same as the one they sell singly by itself), and the actual case. I know it probably seems like a waste of money, but I'm just trying to do my small part to help to stimulate the economy. (At least that's what I keep telling my wife.);)

If the case is anything like the Batarang only case, you might be disapointed. You could probably do just as good if you made one yourself or picked one up at the craft store. I'm pretty sure the Batarang is the same in both the stand alone and collection displays. Also checkout the WB studio store website for the Batarang. I bought mine a month ago and it was about 20-25 bucks less than the Noble site.

Personally, I'm pretty leary of anything Noble Collection puts out. They are not in the 'prop replica' business, but fine collectables, so thier pieces don't fall under the same type of customer base as a Master Replicas type company would.
I've heard some negative reviews of most of thier 'prop replicas' but then again, those reviews were from us hard-core fanboy collectors. I'm sure the average collector would not know the difference between a screen accurate prop and a close enough version and I doubt they would even care - but the prop display DOES look very nice - but if you had the time to put one together yourself, there are some sources here and on the evilbay for the individual prop pieces and you can mount them all yourself.

From the actual picture I've seen it looks like it has a brushed metal look instead of a more chromed look to it. Is that the case? Also the bump looks really.... prominent like it has a more hard line than the actual prop.

Like General Frosty says above the Batarang is more of a fine collectible rather than a screen accurate prop replica. It is more of a brushed brass look than chrome. The "bump" is pretty pronounced. Take a look at the Batman Begins visual guide for a pretty good representation, just imagine it more shiny.
