Ah memories. So sweet that gun is.
I remember it well, seeing Logan's Run at the drive-in (Yeah-I'm that old.).
Having read through this thread, I have to ask you all this.
What would the "average" price of working Sandman Gun?
While I don't have the cash to get it now, next to a M-41A, the Sandman gun would be a must purchase for me.
As for Bryan Singer's involvement in a remake, I'm bummed. I saw him at SDCC in '05 and he talked a little about it. We wanted it to be a melding of the book, the movie and his vision. He related a story about how one of the prop people figured out how to do the live clock beneath the skin. Bryan said that's great but its a palm crystal and I want it to be just that.
As far as being dated, well, its half and half for me. While the hair show, bubble cars and some of the music makes it stand out, I think there's a lot that keeps it "futuristic".
OK, I'll look like a tool-why do you refer to it as a DS gun?
RUN RUNNER.
