Anyone ever put an R2 on their car?

I was just wondering if anyone out there has ever made their trunk into a droid socket and stuck an astromech in there. I have an old beater and I was half thinking of painting it in x-wing colors and putting the top third of the droid bolted to the trunk, if I ever got the money.

There is a whole bunch of people that do it.

Road Squadron... or something?

Looks insane.

And not in a good way. :lol

I think it's a cooler idea then reality. Sounds awesome, looks sweet, gets laughs, stares, and eventually stolen/dammaged.

Shawns car is still by far one of my faves though there ARE quite a few really good ones out there.

Shawn's car has always been my favorite as well. It's still hard to believe he actually got that street legal with the lasers. :lol

I haven't, but I was thinking about just putting a dome on mine that I could remove easily. The neighborhood I live in would probably be ok, but for my job I travel to schools, and some of those areas wouldn't be a place I'd want to tempt someone to mess with my car for any reason.

Did they not do this in the movie FANBOYS? i only seen the trailer but it looks like they did.

Get a BTTF Delorean (Steve?) and have fitted magnetic body panel covers made with rebellion markings, and an R2 dome sized to nestle over the Mr. Fusion chamber... Best of both worlds in about 5 - 10 minutes...

You have to admit that the H-wing is cool.

Yeah, it was pretty clever, actually. I like that he went for the full effect, right down to a net bag of detonators and a holo Ben Kenobi. What a hoot.

I was thinking a little less drastic :)

If you decide to make the mod, there's only one place to go: www.Astromech.net

You can get a dome that is light enough and easily detachable. They are just the right size to fit in your trunk while you are away from the car. :cool

Just know that if you do this, and you're single, you're probably going to stay that way for a long time. :lol

I don't know. It seems like women account for about half of the cars on roadsquadron. I'm sure they are better represented percentage wise there than here.

Are you new here? :lol
