Anyone ever make the Wood shield from Legend of Zelda?

In Ocarina of Time Link is first outfitted with a little wood shield with a circle thing on it - The shield looks like it's made from tree bark. Anyone here ever make one from foam or wood?

I made one with my dad when I was 9 or 10 and it was the Hylian Shield. It was 1/4 inch flat wood, and I just painted the entire design on it. I think I actually used it as fire wood not too long ago. (Getting too old for "toys")

That little circle thing on the Deku Shield is the emblem of the Kokiri Emerald.

I started making a Hylian shield legitimately a year ago. Made the whole blue and red design on leather, then cut the triforce pieces out of 1/4 inch thick steel and beveled the edges, then waited about 10 months for the medal of Yavin run here to get the go-ahead so I could get the triforce gold plated. Two months ago I declared the project officially dead. If that part hadn't fallen through I would have soaked and bent some boards and made the steel trim, but I guess it wasn't meant to be.
