I know this sounds weird, but I've been thinking about it, and knowing how many talented people are on here, I thought maybe someone had attempted it at some point.
Now, when I say electric, I mean you can see electricity flowing through it, aka a plasma ball or something similar. Almost as if you could take a prop, and put it at the center of the ball, making it look as if it was glowing with electricty.
I realize that it most likely couldn't be done inside the plasma ball, but what about with a trick using mirrors or something? Wouldn't necessarily have to be a plasma ball, but something creating electrical waves and such.
Any good electrical specialists that know anything that could produce this kind of effect?
I wanted to create a display for a Magic Ticket I just made from Last Action Hero. In the film it had electricity that comes off it when its starting to come alive, I thought it would be cool to have a display that did something similar.
