Just curious if anyone has ever thought of doing resin casts of one of these beautiful rayguns...they are very hard to come by and im sure alot of people here would want one just for how cool it looks, not because they want an authentic toy. Mainly I want a resin casting :D Just thought id inquire...

Actually a real Hubley is not so hard to get, only a few hundred dollars last time I checked.

Sometimes you get lucky tho. Here's mine. :)

These Hubleys are actual movie props as well... it was featured in "Teenagers from Outer Space!" :lol

Back when I was more into toys than props (I used to set up at toy shows), I just missed a couple of those going for around $100, and one that went for $60. Was one of my favorites then and still is. That was almost 10 years ago though. Those days are gone thanks to Ebay.

I have been in love with that design for a long time. It's my favorite ray gun toy ever.

Just a couple hundred is the hard part for me :p Need something closer to $60... how bout casting yours up, im sure youd sell quite a few :D

Possibly your best bet is to contact GoHero and ask them if they have plans to repro the Hubley.

Their repro of the XZ-38 Disintegrator Pistol is rather nice actually.

I considered doing a slightly larger version of the Hubley for an adult sized hand with more defined details and clear parts but then the same old concern came up.

Instead I did my own.
