Anyone bought or made Lt. Aldo Raine's knife?

I'm sure this has been covered before, but I've never been able to find any photos of any of these props, if so.
I'm interested in seeing if anyone has tackled one of these...
I talked to a knife maker who claimed to make replicas of them priced at like $250, but he didn't provide any pictures...

I would like to get one, but if I'm going the custom route I would just as soon design my own similar knife and not worry about the replica, you know?

does anyone recommend anything thats a "close-enough" knife? Ive found one thats sort of similar thats a replica of what marines carried in WWII, but I'm just dont wanna buy a piece of crap. I want something i can take on camping trips and such.
