Any way to find this Mars Attacks prop?

Hi, I am a big fan of Mars Attacks and have been looking for props from the movie. I just stumbled upon this yesterday -

Martian in Space Suit puppet from Mars Attacks! - Prop Archives : original movie props, screen used wardrobe

It sold at an auction in 2009 and I am wondering if there is any way to find who has it so I could maybe make an offer or is it pretty much gone? Thanks so much for your time!

Do you want that exact one, or just anyone made for the movie? There's a naked one coming up in the next PIH auction:
MARS ATTACKS STOP MOTION PUPPET

Keep in mind two things:
1- these weren't used in the film. They switched to CGI late in the production. They were made _for_ use in the film, it just never happened
2- they ain't cheap. The one in full space suit would likely sell for more than $10,000. You see the 'naked' one is starting at $6000... There seems to be a demand for these lately...

Keep an eye on the PIH auctions, they seem to pop up frequently enough...

Goatlord,

Can you please have the decentcy to contact me aout the deal we made?
I still am wating for payment. You have been on the site ever day.

You asked me to sell and after settling the deal you cannot even contact me:thumbsdown

As a new member you should not go into deals if you cannot pay.

Hear from you.

That little helmet is SO cool! I managed to buy one of the resin maquettes on eBay some time back, but it didn't have a helmet. Anyone got any suggestions as to where I might get one?

David
I bought one of the resin maquettes years ago as well, there was never a helmet offered. Using a measurement of the top ring of the suit and the art of Mars Attacks book as a guide, I sketched out a helmet profile and contacted a "scientific glassblower". This is a person who can make custom flasks, beakers, etc. for chemists. It may have been an unusual project for him, but it's a pretty simple dome after all. It cost me about $100 I think.

That was probably 8 years ago, and I have no idea anymore who the glassblower was, but there must still be people that do this kind of work.

Another option would be to contact Glassdomes.com
They might have a dome that will fit the suit opening, but it won't have the enlarged taper of the puppet helmets.
