Any Ideas For A Hadhafang Wall Mounted Sword Plaque?

I really love my Hadhafang sword. It's become one of my TOP favorite Lord of the Rings swords. But I hate the United Cutlery stand that comes with it. I really like the idea of puting it on a wall mounted plaque like the one that NC makes for theirs.

Has anybody here used a wall mounted sword plaque for their UC Hadhafang?

I may have to make a custom one. Any ideas? Maybe something with leaves?

what I did with mine was just take the factory holders out of the base it came with, and made some wood "hooks" that screwed into the same holes. Worked like a charm.

Another option is to check out the pictures of Elrond's study in the "extras" DVD of Fellowship. There's a picture of Hadhafang hanging vertically in an alcove there.

I also made new wooden supports and glued them into the same holes. Just use the slot on the UC supports as a template for your new ones. An easy fix.

Here's a couple of quick snaps of my conversion.

I used 3/4" MDF, coated in shellac and then painted black.

The curved front and bevel is not necessary...I was just showin' off.

Pressed and glued saw dust made into a sheet of wood.

Man, I would REALLY appreciate it. I just spent hours looking for it. I couldn't find it on disc 4, and I watched half of disc 3 and couldn't find it either. I even watched the slideshow on disc 3 of Elronds stuff, and it wasn't there. I would like to know exactly where it is so that I could find it. Please post a photo. If it is on a plaque, then I want to make a plaque just like it.

wow that looks incredible.
now it makes me actually want to buy a hadhafang.
