Any advice on hanging airplane models?

I'm about to finish a couple WWII airplane models and want them hung from a ceiling in a dogfighting position. I've got a P-51D in a shootout with a Messerschmitt Bf-109 Trop.

I was thinking about using some fishing line and three positions on each airplane to get the desired pitch and angle of the way I want them oriented.

Has anyone else hung aircraft or spacecraft of any sort from their ceiling? If so please share your technique and any pictures are most welcome.

I hang some of my large 1/18 models gear down on the wall. Works great and makes use of space.

Hang 'em upside down so you can see the topside paint work. :D

Oh I definitely plan on having them in a hard banking position to show off my work ;)

Thanks for the tips guys. Sounds like I was on the right track with fishing line.

For a long time, I was into the 1/18 WWII fighters. They weren't models, but toys. I have a P-38, P-51 and an Me-109. I had the 38 tailing the 109 with the 51 in an attack dive towards the 109. But I ran out of room when I moved, so now they're in my parents attic awaiting more space to open up. I also have 1/6th WWII vehicles. I have an american tank (sherman, IIRC), german schwimwagon and motorcycle with side car. It was pretty cool when I had everything set up. With the vehicles on the ground and the planes on the ceiling, everything looked to scale

From experience - use screws to secure them from the ceiling. Last thing you want is one of those bad boys falling on your head.
