Anovos Stormtrooper.... thoughts?

I wouldn´t wonder if the influence of LFL/Disney is a part of the problem.

With the need of their approval for everything they cause great delays (not directly saying they use this to have influence on the selling timeframe without giving direct orders they could be blamed for:angel).
I deal with Disney licensing on a daily basis and yes, that is probably 90% of the problem. The difference between the companies I do work for and Anovos is that my bosses tend to have their ducks in a row before they solicit product

A year and a half is waaaay toooo long for any reasonable person to have to wait.

You would think that with the money that is being infused into this company that they would be in a position to get some product out of the door.
Quite possibly, they are biting off way more than they can chew. I'm guessing they are in a situation where they are trying to strike while the iron is hot, but lets face it Star Wars isn't going away anytime in the foreseeable future.

This may be an approach that alienates future buyers if the delivery times continue to be delayed multiple times for a single run.
Better to focus on a few projects at a time. get paid. Grow and expand at a more manageable pace.

I really want to see this Company succeed. They seem to really have a passion for a quality product.

I want them to succeed as well. I have four to five things I want from them and goodness knows what else they will make but for crying out loud deliver some product. They have done everything else so well and seem to be the opposite of EFX except they have yet to deliver a product.

Deliver some goods folks. We want to love you,..we really, really do.

Tom

So are you privy to Anovos dealings with the Mouse, that they don't have "their ducks in a row"?

It's more like the licensees I work for solicit their goods with a hard date. I've been working on a particular project for over a year but it's being solicited next month for an April release. All the approvals are finished before it's solicited so we can get deliver as promised.
Now I can't fault Anovos TOO much.I don't have intimate knowledge of Anovos' workings but I do know Disney. This is the first time thing for Disney having a high end costume license so approvals might take longer than average. I guess I just wish Anovos would have been a little more upfront. I really could have used that Vader costume for Halloween.

Sounds like your Licensees have a sound business plan.

As you have said dealing with Disney is a nightmare sometimes even when you have all of your i's dotted and T's crossed

Not sure if this has been posted already, but are these the ANOVOS costumes for sale at the WDW Launch Bay? (also some new prop photos in the link)

Just got back from Disneyland.
Had quite a bit of Anovos merchandise for sale in the Launch Bay there.
Full Vader costume, Han, Imperial Officer, both TK helmets and a few other things.
It was nice to see it all first hand.

ANOVOS posted a reply on their Facebook page about the stuff at Disney's Launch Bay. They said that it was mostly prototypes, so I wouldn't take this as being representative of what we are going to get.

Also, there is much speculation over at the FISD board about this not being an ANOVOS kit. Take that for whatever it's worth.
