ANOVOS issues (ANOVOS ONLY discussion)

I believe it’s the same manufacturer in the US that made the Mando helmets for Anovos, now with Denuo Novo labeling. It’s the fiberglass version, listed at $700 on their site.

That’s what I was hoping. For me so far the new company has generated enough good will that I’m willing to give them some patience since product is getting into customer’s hands.

Well DN came through and my headache is over. I sure hope everyone with outstanding orders are taken care of. My experience with DN is positive and hope this is a sign of good things to come.
Excellent! Congratulations!
Good to see more DN SW merch being delivered.
Would be great if they could pickup the ST and BSG licenses and take care of those customers too!
Let's be patient and see how it goes.

Pardon me if this sounds like a n00b question but,

Is that the Anovos version or a rubies helmet?

That is a Denuo Novo helmet. They took over the Anovos Star Wars orders.

Denuo Novo is a subsidiary of National Entertainment Collectibles Association (NECA) and their universe of companies which include Rubies II.

Denuo Novo is related to Rubies, but I wouldn't call it a Rubies helmet. Rubies products are normally pretty inexpensive. The Denuo Novo helmets are higher end. So far they appear to be the same as the Anovos helmets except for the company name on the label and delivering more consistently.

Sewbacca congrats on getting your item helmet from DN. Things moving a positive direction for now and slowly picking up speed. Hopefully those still waiting have contacted DN to get some info on anything they have been waiting on. Chaga, Chaga, CHOO, CHOO!!! Keep the items coming and hopefully pick up a few more licenses would be great

I just received this a few days after contacting DN on September 11 about my two back orders.

I am still waiting on a Luke Pilot Helmet ordered (April 18, 2018). They gave me the same reply as others:
"We are actively working on the Luke Skywalker helmet and expect to have that available to customers in early 2022."

For the things shipping now, I would assume it's all Anovos with a new label. A deal like this wouldn't happen in a day, it would have to be talked about for months, and during that time Anovos was probably still receiving merchandise from manufacturers. They almost certainly would've been told to halt shipments while discussions were ongoing. That would account for the total radio silence. The new company would want all that merchandise to be sitting ready so they could start out looking like the good guys.

The real question is going to be moving forward: can the new company deliver product while still maintaining anovos quality? We won't know that for a while.

I haven't been collecting props for the last few years, and the last (and only) Anovos thing I have ordered was the Classic TK kit years ago at the extreme discount price that early orders got.

I got an email today from the new company about the Praetorian helmet and got caught up on all the news. I have to say, I'm so glad it seems like this new company is working in the right direction. A lot of these helmets are props I know I'll eventually want, but Anovos flakiness meant I would never get. If these can stay in-stock, or have regular runs over time, it'd be a great resource for Disney Era prop replicas that have some lineage to the screen used items.

To my knowledge Anovos never shipped any of the lobster guard helmets, so this is interesting news. Hoping and expecting that the quality will be on par with the earlier Anovos releases (before things seemed to go downhill somewhat near the end).

Anovos made the Mando, Royal Guard, and 2020/21 Shoretrooper helmets in their own Texas facility. They may have continued to make them while negotiations were taking place. It wouldn't be hard to Denuo Novo to restart production their either since the molds and tools should have been there.

It may be on their agenda, but i imagine working through the SW backlog is a major obstacle. Anovos had what? 20? 30? things on their list that they never delivered on?

Plus, the rights holders of those have to be willing to make them an offer to make it worth their while. The SW license might be big bucks, but NO ONE is going to pay for it AND make good on all the vapor orders that were taken if they aren't getting the money for it. Disney has those pockets for SW and Paramount for Trek, but i don't know the BSG license has that kind of backing...

Does anyone know if these are ready to ship - or pre-orders?
Even though they are shipping certain items and acknowledging several back order inquiries. It be really up to par for them when listing items especially new one. They tell customers up front, “Item in stock ready to ship“ or “This is a Pre Order” Having a higher level of transparency is the way to go. Another reason why I haven’t order anything I don’t need my cash tied up in limbo. Eventually they will make that happen hopefully.

The order page shows the Han Solo Belt as Pre-Order and shipping in October 2021. The new helmet doesn’t say pre-order, which is similar to the other helmets they have in stock and have been shipping. I wonder if it will turn out that it is also available now since not listed as pre-order? If anyone bites maybe they can let the board know.

Yes I saw that about the belt. I am just saying it be easier on customers if they simply stated ready to ship or pre order. Save customers time instead of someone trying to figure it out. I am sure folks ordering will chime in let fellow RPFers know.
