ANOVOS issues (ANOVOS ONLY discussion)

Obviously communication has been a problem for years with Anovos. I can't agree with people saying they don't care anymore after they have your money. If they show no progress on delivering, they will lose their license and possibly have other consequences from the lawsuit. It is in their own financial interest to deliver the products. Unfortunately it isn't realistic to delivery everything in a short period of time.

If they indeed did care about their customers they would honor requests for refunds.

did anyone else have all their orders with entertainment earth cancelled? I had about $1600 worth of orders cancelled over the weekend with a notice that they don't know when or if at, orders from Anovos will be fulfilled so they've opted to cancel them instead.

I didn't say they care about how customers feel. I'm saying they care about staying in business or avoiding financial penalties for showing no progress.
 
You'd think a company nearly 4 years in arrears with customer and in well behind with nearly ALL of their customers would make relevant updates, etc. They do nothing.
Yeah, they still haven't got a handle on the "always keep people up to date" thing.

Yes, the Anovos items I had on preorder through EE were cancelled on the 18th, same message.
 
It doesn't really surprise me that a retailer like EE is canceling their pre-orders. They have probably gotten sick of answering questions about when the items are going to be delivered while not getting any more of a response from Anovos than we are getting.

Many products are way behind. We all know that. All of the products won't be released in the near future. That isn't realistic to expect. Some people have been receiving some of the items recently. The Han Solo jacket and AT-AT helmet are examples. It isn't much, but at least it is signs of some products being delivered. After the demand for the Mando helmet slows down, I would expect that facility to start making another product. Hopefully one of the delayed preordered items.

Doing anything you can to stay afloat is not caring about anyone but yourself.

Anyone with a shred of class or caring gives more info than these guys. They have said pretty much NOTHING in 4 years. The exception being the stuff last spring where they tried to mea culpa and claim things would get better. A year later they have not. That's not caring.

I'm curious how they expect to stay in business long term. They've alienated their main customer base at this point and the price is too high for them to really get a customer base back elsewhere.

You want me to think you care? Give me an HONEST update. An HONEST time frame. And give me HONEST answers. I/We can be very understanding when we know what's going on. The don't think they should tell us anything. I get that, especially now, they will have a much harder time with dates. But, no way in hell they've expected to ship things every freaking quarter then not, delay it to the next quarter, then not and so on for damn near 4 years. If they don't reasonably expect my suit to ship in the next quarter or two, they should flat out say so. And at this point, they should be sending me a message saying i can have an immediate refund if i so choose. But, i won't hear anything. Good chance i won't get an email bumping the suit back another quarter either. I'll have to go to their site and look for it, which will still say Q1 2020 until they bother to edit the file and change all Q1's to Q2 and act like they did something right.

People need months/years to get a refund is NOT caring. It's selfish greed and poor business practices and ethics.

I'm sorry, but when tens of thousands of items are owed and have been paid for for years, having a handful ship doesn't show caring of any sort for their customers.

It may not read this way but i say all that calm as can be. They owe us all substantially better. Either they don't care about us or Disney doesn't care about us. It's one of the two, possibly both. But there is nothing they've done in the last 3-4 years I can think of that implies they care about us.
 
I totally agree with the lack of caring about the customers frustration and extremely poor communication. Unfortunately it has gotten to the point where very few will believe whatever communication there is, so there may not be much point in providing increased communication. It sure would he nice to see some estimates actually be met even if the estimates are pushed way out.

Other than the Mando helmet, it has been quite a while since they put a new Star Wars item up for sale. This was a big change from putting new products up for preorder frequently.

Didn't they wait to bill you for the Mando helmet when it was ready to ship? That is a big difference from paying for something 4 years ago and still not getting it delivered and may have been why people were willing to try it.

I'm still willing to buy Anovos SW products, just not directly from Anovos.
I'd be [back] in if they changed their model to "pay only when it's ready to ship", and only once I've received everything that's been delayed...for years.....and paid in full.
 
Dazzling isn't it that they WAY talked up changing their ways and here we are AGAIN with the same dynamic - 4 days left in Quarter and both they know and you and I know that nothing will be coming. It was this way for me in 2016 with them - no news until the Quarter ended and now there is not even that.

And of course they will mention coronavirus and how it is having an impact. And it will be them taking advantage of people dying in order to connect with our "understanding."

Coronavirus is a very real impact on many businesses and people's lives. A business really being impacted by that is not taking advantage of people dying. This statement is really low.

Feel free to criticize Anovos for missing estimates time and time again. There is a very high chance they would have missed many of the estimates again this time regardless of the disruptions.

Many people's lives and livelihood's are being severely impacted. Delays in the delivery of expensive toys should not be a major concern at this time.
