ANOVOS issues (ANOVOS ONLY discussion)

I thought it was determined that the pouches on the belt were sewed from a contiguous strip of leather instead of individually stitched. Did I miss something there? I would have thought Anovos would have incorporated that discovery.

I've come to the conclusion that it just is what it is. Path of least resistance:

No problem at all and I would like to thank Mara Jade's Father for the photos of the Anovos holster rig! As far as the pouches I still believe the ones on the ANH holster rig are separate pieces of leather held in place with small rivets. As great as the Anovos holster is there are a few differences to the one seen in A New Hope. It really looks to me like they used the Empire Strikes Back holster for reference and did a great job. I'll try my best to list some of these differences that I see on the ANH holster and add some photos for reference:

1. The leg strap is set at the bottom of the holster and only has three snaps + one empty hole

2. The strap that holds the blaster inside the holster has only one rivet and is set farther up the Y strap.

3. The belt and the holster have creased border lines

4. Pouches are not sewn

5. Three Copper rivets used to hold the holster on to Y strap instead of stiching

6. No visible rivets on the buckle system attached to the belt. I believe this was achived in the same way conchos are attched with screws from the back side of the leather.

7. Bottom or "toe plug" of holster is round

I really hope to receive the Kit around Christmas.

I am really hoping to have kits by then as well. As far as parts, they are not done per piece like that. The good news is , it just a matter of laying plastic down. That is why I am hopeful.

The website still says "Q4" rather than "Shipping now," and I chatted with Anovos CS online to get my answer, but ran out of time when they were researching and they advised they'd e-mail me an answer, which hasn't happened yet.

Shipping Now, but unfortunately, some were recalled for quality control reasons.

This is such BS. I contacted Anovos to see if my order--which some of you have shipping to you now--was shipping in time for Halloween. They advised no. They had to hold some items back for quality control issues. They said it'll be another couple weeks to ship out the remaining orders.
I am livid.

Just through numbers I knew some people here would be in the recall bunch and it kills me that we are having to deal with the remakes on an already heavily delayed product. Please send me a PM and let me know how I can make the situation better. I will do what I can.

Will I continue to add Anovos items to my collection? Yes… but… I am going to wait till items are in stock and there is more info on the end quality (not prototypes).

Yes, greeblies will be sold alone. Please tell your friends too..we had to make thousands of sets to justify the cost.

can't you just buy a cowboy holster from a fancy dress shop? I'm sure nobody would notice the difference!

@gotmaul I am confused. I ordered the wheathered snow trooper helmet variant back in January 2015. Are we not getting wheathered versions after all?

GotMaul, any idea on when the soft goods package for the FO Tk will be up? I feel there's no point in ordering the armour until I know how much the soft good will be.

I have the Kylo Ren premier helmet on a payment plan. Was checking my bank statements and it appears that I was billed twice in two days, on 10/18 and 10/19, for the monthly amount. Has anyone else noticed something like this? Had 1 payment of same amount for September, and one for August. Have put in a support request but wondering if anyone's had the same issue.
 
I've been seeing the tie ANH helmets around and they look fantastic. Seems like folks are starting to get them in hand. Does anyone recall what the Tier 1 pricing on just the ANH tie pilot helmets were?

Hey guys, I have a small problem and I'm hoping someone here can give me some advice. I ordered a set of the Bespin fatigues on the day they came off of pre-order (9-2-16). Originally I had ordered a medium but after seeing several reviews from people who had already received theirs I decided a small would probably fit me better. A week after I placed my order I contacted Anovos through their online chat service and requested a change. They told me that they couldn't perform the change because my set was marked "ready to ship". At this point I thought oh well and waited patiently for it to ship. After about a week and a half of no shipping notifications I thought I would try my luck and this time decided to open a ticket requesting the size change. I was told someone would respond to my ticket in 5-7 days but I received no response. So I waited about a week and a half and contacted them again through their online chat. At this point it had been about a month since I placed my order. I asked that since it had still not shipped if there was a way to change the size. I managed to talk to someone who was very helpful and assured me that the size would be changed and that it would ship in a couple of days.

Fast forward ANOTHER two weeks... still nothing. I contact them AGAIN and they tell me the size has been corrected and it is still marked "ready to ship". They said they are going to push my order through to fulfillment (again...) and I should hear something by the end of the week. That was two weeks ago. Today I decide to contact them again and they tell me the same thing. "It's very odd that it's taken this long to ship, we'll push it forward to fulfillment and you should receive a reply by the end of the day. I'm patiently waiting to hear a reply but at this point I'm very doubtful I'm going to get one. I feel like there 3 possibilities as to what's happening. 1.) Something truly odd has happened and my order has been forgotten. 2.) They ran out after fulfilling the pre-orders and are waiting on more to arrive. 3.) All of my questions have pissed someone off and they are purposefully delaying shipment (HIGHLY doubtful but still possible lol). I feel if they did run out I would much prefer they just told me that rather than giving me the run around for two months.

My question is, has anybody else run into this problem? With how friendly and willing to help their Customer Service department is I'm having severe doubts I'm ever going to see my order. I was hoping to have it for Halloween (today) but that's not happening lol. No big deal. I'm afraid I'm not going to hear anything back on my ticket and if I don't I really don't have the confidence in contacting their online service again because despite all of their hope and promises nothing seems to get accomplished. I'm not trying to bitch or complain, it's just getting a little frustrating. Does anybody with experience have any advice as to what I should try next if I don't receive a reply on my ticket? Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you all for your time!

I would say you're in the right place here, give it a little time and a user by the name of Got Maul will likely be able to let you know what's going on (as he's one of the people running the company and has been doing a great job of helping people out here recently). Then let us know how things work out!
