NOOOOOOOOoooooooo, do not risk it. Anovos customers now are seeing neither product NOR their money. Truly.
Well, we have to hang in there at this point, right? Anovos has shut down refunds of any kind and gone silent on products (except for their email today and how to make a patch. Get that crap in your inbox today?). There is nothing we can do pro/ con/ up/ down.
Anovos seems to be overpriced chinese made products now correct? Should I just save up for an RS Prop Masters Stormtrooper suit?
The problem I have on the RS is that there is a bump on the forehead of the helmet..which obviously is probably screen accurate (did all Stormtrooper helmets have it)? But I'd actually prefer one that's more idealized in the future.
I do like Anovos' Darth Vader helmet though. I would like to buy a super glossy ESB one in the future, from any company anyway.

For the stormtrooper stuff: research around on whitearmor.net. maybe someone innyour country is doin commission builds, too. That way you can go to any of the vetted armormakers there.
I'd say go with RS for a neck-down suit and mod up a Black Series Stormtrooper helmet if you want something more idealized up top. I'll have pictures of my modded one(s) retaken and re-hosted within the next week or so to see what I'm talking about.

Has anyone here had any luck with a small claims court approach to Anovos? I'm in the typical situation many find themselves in with a 3 year old unfulfilled order that Anovos is promising to refund but never executing the refund. My bank refuses to reverse the charge because it's over 120 days old. I'm wondering if small claims or even the threat of it has ever caused them to actually issue a refund?
I'm aware of the class action, but I don't live in a class member state and that's going to take forever!
I would love to know this myself. I've heard nothing from them in two months since originally requesting a refund for a three year old order.
You said Anovos was the only one that "delivered when they were supposed to"... You know that's not accurate. When they announced the helmet it was to ship before the first episode... If I recall it didn't' ship until the season was over - 2 months late.

I've said it before but I waited three years for the TFA Han Solo jacket and somehow still received it after requesting a refund multiple times.
I would be comfortable purchasing some helmets or other items through another retailer like BBTS or EE if they were in stock, but I won't take a chance ordering directly from Anovos.

I'm a data person, and I'm looking to help people with these anovos problems... To me it seems the 1st step is going beyond expressing anger and starting to dial in what works. I'd love to talk with people who have either
A.) Attempted a chargeback with their credit card
B.) Have gotten a refund from Anovos directly
B.) Have pursued small claims or other legal action (or threat of)
If you're in one of these 3 buckets I'd like to understand what lead to successful chargebacks or negotiated refunds or where the legal action led and start to use the data to determine some winning strategies with Anovos. Then share those strategies with others, to provide a road-map of sorts.
So if you're in one of those buckets, please either post here or message me privately, we'll start to figure out what works and crowdsource each others experience.

Out of interest, if you pay by credit card/paypal for an item they claim is in-stock, but they don't ship it in a reasonable time frame, how easy is it to get a refund through your chosen payment method?

Well that is a good question. That is up to the CC or bank. I did this with one order that was past by 1 month.... i started charge back but still took 3 weeks to ship. But that did give them insentive to ship. Anovos had credit timeliness. Anovos did delay their investigation part as long as they could. But since i could just refuse order if it shipped then i had more power in this instance. It will always depend on your CC or bank. Call them and see what they say.
Edit: i forgot that for me items under $50 i just got credit that day for it but could be taken back based on the outcome... if i got it... but above $50 that was hashed out. So a $13 patch they said here take the money if you get the patch we dont care...the Trek Tunic was >250 so that was investigation dependent... but it was pressure that got it shipped. So i got both in the end...

Thanks for your reply. I haven't ordered anything from them yet, but have put myself on the interest list for the ERG helmet, and was just wondering if it would be relatively risk free to use my CC/PayPal, if I had the opportunity to purchase.. My CC company are pretty good and PayPal are generally good from what I've heard too.

I hate to be a negative nelly but if you can pre-order from BBTS or the like... they have better pre-order options to drop out. Interest list.. Anovos doesn't allow to order until they have stock or significant number of pre-orders drop out... so there you go.. just ne careful. im biased as i have refund owed 2 yrs in the making now.. still at "final stage" ... i warn you to only pull that trigger with Anovos unless you can part with that money...

I second this... i think hes Egon on here.... but i got a perfect Han ESB shirt... the ESB jacket will likely be a future purchase...if not the whole ensemble... he's taking a break on etsy right now tho.. so you could PM him tho.
