ANOVOS issues (ANOVOS ONLY discussion)

Thanks for that, not impressed, that finish isn't great, metallic silver? I guess I'll look for a fan made version.
Thanks again
I have the Anovos Mando helmet. The finish looks more like a painted car finish than replicating shiny metal.

It will be interesting to see how the efx compares.

Back on 9 November 2017 I ordered the AT-AT Driver Helmet direct from Anovos. Today a large box appeared with the helmet. I did not receive a shipping notification ahead of time or any other notice on status since their 19 June 2019 update that pointed to a Q3 2019 delivery.

It would appear that some items are indeed moving out for delivery...

Delighted for you Dan, are you happy with accuracy and quality etc

Thanks! Yes, I would say that this helmet looks essentially identical to the two Anovos AT-AT helmets that I had purchased via eBay back when I though I might never see the delivery of my original purchase. I think it is well-known that the forehead greeblies are not quite screen-accurate on these but overall the helmet is very nice and I'm very pleased with it.

Never intended to have three of these things, but that's the way it worked out. :) New acquisition on the right...

Looks beautiful. Just my opinion, but write Anovos off. I get using the Mandalorian (and other things) to profit and recover the debt, but we still have people 4 years out. Not to be a dick, but really they are generating capitol now with new stuff, they know you waited 4 years. You'll wait longer, 'when things get good.'
It probably will. But fit and finish expectations is no reason for delays. this should not even be a discussion, it's not a small producer like we have on the RPF,. It's someone LICENSED. Guess what that costs.
I'm sorry for those of you that have hundreds (never mind thousands) of dollars invested and waiting. But (again my opinion) shut them down. We have a pretty good community, we can produce the pieces as good or better (anybody around here long enough knows how deep the waters are)
Very Steve Dszymo (sp)(I lost a lot of money on that douchebag), but this is a LICENSED business. Making money to stay afloat while assuming old customers will wait because, well, you have.

Just my two cents. But do you really want to have this same thread in 5 years? Again?

If the lawsuit doesn't go against them, they will basically have been given licence to scam. What motivation will that be to do right by the customers that are waiting? The mouse has got their backs. I just see them selling more new stuff until they get greedy, then the whole cycle starts over.

If they have no intention of filling back orders, why did 3DImpact just receive an AT-AT helmet from Anovos?

I know people will think this is just another excuse, but the coronavirus issue has certainly disrupted products coming from China and likely other parts of the world as well.

I expect the lawsuit to have some kind of impact on how Anovos does business. Maybe deadlines for delivering products. If the deadlines are not met, require refunds to be offered.

Other than the Mando helmet, which Disney most likely insisted on being produced close to the release of the show, Anovos has not been putting new SW products up for sale. I suspect that was because of the lawsuit. It certainly was a change from what they were doing.

Unfortunately they have a huge hole to dig out of. It will take a long time to produce all of the back ordered items, even if they produce several of the products each month.

I've said this before but it is worth saying over and over. I will never buy direct from Anovos again. Just because they are getting the Mando helmet out and a very few people are receiving things it seems like some people are ready to forgive and forget. If I want something they make I will get it on the secondary market, if available, or not at all.

Nope secondary market only.... IS THE WAY

Some may be confusing just hoping to eventually get what we already paid for with forgiving and forgetting. Unfortunately I am not aware of any options other than waiting for the product or requesting a store credit. Requesting a refund hasn't been working for others. Contacting your credit card company may work, but not all the time.

I asked about a Q2 update. They said they are working on it. Hopefully it isn't just moving everything back a quarter. I don't think anyone believes they will be shipping anywhere close to the number of different items in each quarter that they had on the last update. It would be really nice to have a more realistic estimate.

I'm waiting for an update on my Mando lid... they're a day or two behind their "average" shipping time for that particular helmet. I will say though, that their customer reps have been replying fairly regularly to inquiries about it.

I asked a couple weeks ago if the virus situation would impact things like the Picard jacket (which is being made in China) and at that time, it didn't seem to from what I was told, but a LOT has changed since then. At least, this time, there's a pretty valid excuse for further delays.

The virus is no excuse for things that should have been delivered by the end of next week, which clearly isn’t happenin.
Well, China began locking down in January, and shipping from China to the US takes around 3-4 weeks, so it's very clearly a valid excuse. (Now, I don't think they would have made the deadline with all the stuff anyway, but it could very well have affected anything they actually were on track with. It seemed that the Picard jacket, at least, was one item that was getting close.) Other manufacturers, like Hot Toys, also seem to have slipping dates (again) on some items that we've been waiting for quite long.

Not everything takes 3 to 4 weeks , a friend just got a package Wednesday that was shipped March 9 from China

When Sideshow ships Hot Toys figures to me, directly from their warehouse in China, they only take 2-3 days with DHL, but when you're shipping something like 50-100 jackets, that take a lot of cargo volume, you would usually use a container by ship, not air freight. In general, if they use one of the larger commercial worldwide couriers like UPS, FedEx, DHL, TNT and so on, it'll take less than a week, but costs a fair amount. But if they use the regular China Post (their equivalent to the USPS) even a bag of screws can take 6-8 weeks!

Maybe the virus is actually OUR excuse that they need to send everything now so that some of us can give the product to a descendant upon dying this summer.

Ugly all over.

Oh it ALWAYS depends on how much you want to spend ,this was furniture that came in crates, did’nt ask him how much it cost to ship but it was not cheap

just saying, “shipping from china to the U.S.” does not take 3 or 4 weeks things are now moving out of there fast, just depends on how much you want to spend

Well, I'll chip in on the back order status conversation. Wednesday I received notification that my long overdue Star Wars Imperial Officer Pant (Black) had shipped. Today I received them and I'm pretty happy with the quality. Unfortunately, in the three years since I ordered them my waist line has changed and I will need to get them altered a little. LOL.

Even if so, they should have been informed of that fact well before now and been able to pass on the news and/or adjust their dates accordingly. They don't. Ever. They wait for the clock to expire and reset it 3 months later. Then, 3 months later, rinse, repeat.

I mean, i'm getting email from places i haven't bought anything from in ages or ever in a couple cases telling me how they're hear me and how i can make use of their services at this time or explaining what they can't do etc. You'd think a company nearly 4 years in arrears with customer and in well behind with nearly ALL of their customers would make relevant updates, etc. They do nothing.
