Seriously though, the selection they are offering up in this sale is looking seriously depleted compared to previous offerings.

Even with a fire sale/liquidation I wouldn’t trust them, unless it was a reputable third party selling off aNOvos assets. And that couldn’t be much of anything.

There is a lot of digging going on with this company. I don't know how many of you were/ are in for Kylo costumes but the word is THEY WERE NEVER PRODUCED. I'm getting that from what amounts to three sources. Seriously. So the "completed production" emails are total lies.

Will check on what more I can say. But one of them works for Anovos and sees how we're getting f'd over - starting to really feel bad and personall conflicted.

Especially after recent dynamics and developments.

I have not seen Entertainment Earth take preorders on any new Anovos product lately. I have to wonder if they are tired of having to deal with customers asking about eta dates and Anovos poor service. Stuck in the middle.

Assuming with some sarcasm, aNOvos business owner(s) model is to spend lavishly and enjoy life’s finer things first, then maybe deal with the consequences later. Guess being registered LLC gives you privilege of this practice...

Sounds about right. If you add up everything currently on their page for SW it comes to $59,627. If you figure conservatively they sold 10 of each piece in pre-orders that's $596,270.00. Nothing's being produced so where's the money going?

Maybe overhead and then licensing and royalty rates? First you have to pay for the license which could be hundreds of thousands for a property like Star Wars, and then Disney wants their cut of the sales. That might mean even from pre-sales. I did read that Disney turned the screws on licensing partners by working a deal for a ~20% royalty which is about double the normal rate. So maybe Anovos wasn’t prepared for the upfront costs as much as they thought they would be? But if that is the case, then why not just admit it to customers?

Oh no, that's what my biggest fear was and mainly why I cancelled my suit. I just had a feeling they hadn't even started yet.

I think a lot of what happened is that Anovos used (and continues to use) a LOT of the incoming money to pay licensing fees INSTEAD of spending it on production. They probably oversold themselves in the beginning and have had an increasingly hard time keeping up with the Disney/ LFL bill.

Disney isn't making them not produce things
Disney isn't telling them to deny refunds
Disney isn't telling them to lie about updates
Disney isn'y telling them to delete comments and ban people who complain
Disney isn't telling them to have a fake address
Disney isn't telling them to try and pay for items with the pre-order for another
Disney isn't telling them to ship items damaged or missing parts and then ignore customers

Right!!!!! That's the thing!!!! It IS only Anovos. BUT - it is so egregious and stupid that Disney, fully aware of what is going on, is also responsible in that their approval of this behavior, without doing anything about it, makes them party to fraud perhaps. They ALLOW it!!!

So we alone are victims of Anovos and Disney both. That's what I'm saying. ****, if I could force Joe and Dana to sell everything they own, including a kidney each, I would do it in a heartbeat to make things right.

What exactly do you expect them to do? There are contracts in place that protect the license holder. It's not as if Disney can just fire them; they'd have to breach the contract in some way. If you're looking for legal justice you should be planning to take them to court, Disney isn't going to do that on your behalf.

Still not sure why Disney being a successful company makes them the root of all evil. Disney is not the problem here, it is Anovos. Plenty of other companies have licenses with Disney/LFL and they can get products on the shelves in a timely manner. They know the costs up front.

It's funny how people can accuse Disney of being both not enough involved and overbearing at the same time.
