Not being a Vader expert, I'm struggling a bit to get a handle on if and where they went off model with it. Next to an ANH style helmet, yeah, sure it's obviously different, but man to my eye that looks like a solid ESB/RotJ Vader. The mouth mesh isn't ideal (I think it's too small?), and is...is the face maybe a touch too narrow? But $500 seems like a decent deal for this thing.

From the side, it looks a little flat. But yeah, for the money (& I got the tier 1 price) & being fiberglass, it's a great helmet.
My package also arrived today. How'd you take the helmet out of the packaging? Its seems to be packed pretty tight. Either I break apart the styrofoam or risk rubbing off the finish.

The neck looks too wide...
It's tied down to the bottom piece of Styrofoam. There are two twist ties going from the hood down through the Styrofoam and tied to a piece of wood underneath, outside of the Styrofoam cube.

Of course it is in the ballpark. Almost 100% of the people who know who Darth Vader is would recognize what it is. I have certainly seen much worse.

Bears some resemblance to the Don Post Classic Action piece. The center strip above the eyes is ROTJ, not sure if this is supposed to be ESB or ROTJ?
For $500 it's not terrible, but it's far from an accurate scan. The face is a bit flat, neck is rather wide, dome seems to fit the mask a bit odd, but maybe it's more the positioning of the dome angle relative to the mask along with the wide neck.
The EFX PCR is much more accurate even with its modified tubes and two piece done construction. Once again, the price is not bad if you have a modest interest in Vader. Once you dig into the details, I'd end up feeling I lost $500 that I could have invested in a nice helmet.

Scrutiny is fine when it includes details of what is right or wrong. General statements like "not even close" with no further explanation don't help anyone know what to look for.
I'm not thrilled with how it looks either, but I prefer the ANH look so that may be coloring my opinion.
Comparing the efx ANH to the Anovos ESB may not say much about the accuracy. There are supposed to be some differences.

My first impression is that this piece is very solid and heavy. As a first time Vader owner, now I can understand why this would retail for $600+ and the eFx one originally retailed for $1000 (managed to get this at Tier 1 pricing at $300). I can't imagine wearing this heavy of a helmet all day but its definitely looks nice as a display piece.
