ANOVOS Darth Vader

here are some pictures I found online. ( not sure who to credit for the pictures, but there is a watermark that says SHADOW so thanks for sharing SHADOW)
Not sure how I feel about the chest armor, the chest box and the belt boxes. Some of the pieces look a bit toy-ish and you can see the markings of injection plastic. The soft parts however look amazing. I feel like the helmet isnt bad at all but there is something about it that just doesn't do it for me. It might be all the griblies added on the forehead , but even on the pictures where the dome is on, it seems like some details are way too soft.

that looks like it was from a convention show floor photo. wheren't those all fan loaned, or prototypes?
No, this is a production model displayed at the one of the disney attractions. the display is set up in the store section and it has a price tag.
I think it looks pretty good but my goodness you would think they would put some effort into a decent mannequin. I also don't get why they have the helmet off the mannequin.
Oh well I don't get a lot.
The Kardashian's, Juster Beiber, Geometry, etc.

The mannequin is too small, that's the biggest reason the costume like less than stellar. If those are production pieces, I think they look great.
Yeah I actually think it looks pretty good but I just can't see why Disney or Anovos would put it up looking like that.

I have to agree. You would think Disney, of all people, would have a better mannequin to fill out the suit better. For those who are anorexic, that's what your suit'll look like on ya.
I only ordered the helmet, as I, 1. Couldn't afford the whole leather suit. & 2. Wasn't gonna spend that kind of money without seeing a finished product first. I think the helmet looks great. & seeing what Disney is charging for it :eek, my teir 1 price I paid, makes it look even better :cool
& can we get a Mouseketeer to dust the helmet, please?! Come on people!

Its not terrible dont get me wrong and a better mannequin would dramatically change what we are looking at here. However there are just a few certain details, specially if you look at the chest box and the belt boxes. they look very plastic giving it a toy-ish appearance. Also the coin slots on the chest box and the green buttons on the belt boxes look toy-ish as well. These are things that can be either fixed by giving the boxes a paint job and the detail piece being replaced, but when you pay this much for a product you would expect not to have to do any of that.
When it comes to the helmet and the chest armor, again not terrible but they seem to have a few soft edges. Also the shape of the chest armor is a bit off.
I'm not trying to shame the product. It definitely is an awesome representation of the suit and armor. Its just not the replica a lot of people were expecting. I think people were hoping Anovos would be a Master Replicas or EFX type of company, in terms of accuracy in replicas of the props. Its seems like they are just high end customs and not accurate prop replicas.
Evidentally you missed some of the threads here years ago where MR and eFX have been whipped to shreds on this board concerning accuracy on some of their offerings! :lol
nnnaaaawww I know. I guess what I meant to say is the type of company. Maybe not so much the actual products that came from them.

yeah, that was my thought as well. the thing isn't really put together very well..even the helmet is off center.

yeah, it does look kind of...off... it's the mattel hoverboard all over again ;o).
For $2,000's, I want something that looks like it stepped right off the screen with no expenses spared. I think this will be the last time I buy a pre order that expensive with nothing to show for it.

I would love a complete screen accurate Vader costume. However, ANOVOS never said that's what they were making. They've said, from the beginning, their stuff was for trooping in & wearing, & so some changes & alterations - for wearing comfort - would be made over "screen accuracy". Yes, they are higher end costumes & helmets, but they are not "screen accurate" costumes & helmets. I do hope that, & wouldn't be surprised if, everything on display is still prototype stuff, & therefore changes will be made. I don't know if that's the case though. Can someone who's there verify? If I slap down 4 grand, will I get to walk out of the park in my new Darth Vader suit (cause believe me, if I paid 4k for a costume, I would strip to my undies & put Vader on at the register :lol - avert your eyes kids!)?

has anyone gotten a shipping notification for their TK armor? supposedly some people are getting standalone helmets already.
For the original trilogy TKs? There are plenty of First Order trooper already being reviewed, but I havent seen a single classic ones. Please share a link if you find one.
