Another Solo blaster?

In the years I've been hangin' round this board I have never seen this blaster variant discussed. It was used for the cut bunker infiltration scene in ROTJ and looks like some kind of modified Greedo Killer. Logically, with all the sleuths on this board there's no way that no one has brought it up before... I just can't believe how I could've missed it.

Yeah this gets brought up every so often. Haven't seen a replica made of it yet.

Looks like a ANH here bracket with a reverse mounted H&W.

Wow I've not seen that before either. A Buntline Special from a galaxy far far away. Goofy looking. Indicative of a lack of attention to detail (or quickly fulfiling a prop need on set).

Is there a flash hider? It looks like the bare barrell might just coincidentally be lined up with some background conical shaped bit on the floor.

Seems like the usual ROTJ mount, but put on backwards. (front to back) The scope rings dont seem to be centered, but placed towards the rear as opposed to the front if the mount were placed correctly. The scope is also fairly high up as with the ROTJ mount. Lastly, if you look for it you can almost make out the unique shape of the mount, backwards.

It also looks like a bull barrel, but can't tell about the flash hider.

All in all, pretty ugly.

Yeah, this has come up. It was the blank-firing Mauser used for the only scenes shot in Elstree where Han shoots his blaster (the other firing scenes were in Endor/California with a different prop).

I believe lonepigeon speculated or believes that it's the same base Mauser from Bapty used for ANH...with a different scope and hider, obviously.

The scene was cut from the film. It was a firefight in the bunker hallway as Han and the rebs worked their way from the back door to the control room.

Too bad that was cut from the film the still looks like a great bad ass Han moment.

The original big thread must be over a year old and has dropped off the board.

I believe this is the ANH Hero blaster (with Hensoldt and original scope cradle) just put back together differently for ROTJ.

I saw this a while back its certainly a curious looking DL44, I am sure its the original from babty too ,minus the flash hider of course ,which was probably added after as it was not with the original mauser ,which was incidently used in a frank Sinatra film .. :eek

Yeah, it's such a heartbreaker that Lucas never gave us the deleted scenes on the DVD.
