Hey guys, long time lurker, first time thread starter. This has been a project for many years. I'm finally mostly content with the progress (as in, I'm not jonesing on any props or costume pieces to add/upgrade, and I've finally settled on a single makeup product). I'd still love to get a proper coat, but I'm satisfied for the moment.
I used to work for a Pirate themed store, and my managers encouraged me to wear a (really bad) jack sparrow halloween costume from time to time..and, it was terrible. So, I started r
esearch into costumery and the character, and created what I could over the years.
I managed to purchase only the things I could not make myself, which includes the shirt, vest, coat, and buckles.
I recently made the badric, and I'm pretty proud of it. I crafted the boots, belts, tricorn and wig. Sadly, I didn't treat or oil the tricorn when I made it, or ..ever.. so cracks are forming in the crown and it has a few holes and needs to be re-made or a new, nicer one bought.
