I was commissioned to build a few of the TA 954 hall phones for a client and for the life of me I can't seem to track any down ( at a reasonable price). I was toying with the idea of making a vacuum formed body but thought it would be to much work. Well seeing how the phones have been all scooped up by us i decided to start the build.

Here is the first run, turned out good and had great detail but was a little to thin

So i switched to .80 and pulled a top and bottom.Trimmimg , gluing and bondo stage about done.

I have the key pad, the 4 side bolts, the 2 front knobs and of course the phone handset all in silicone . Should have a complete build by the weekend.

Looking good Moff Man.

Did you build a buck or use the original phone case as the buck? If you used the original I'm impressed with how it picked up the detail well and didn't kink on some of the deeper corners of handset area.

I am using a real TA for the buck, i drilled holes in the areas least like to get pulled. I didn't get any kinks there but I always seem to get them on the 4 outside corners.

There we have it , a fake TA 954 BSG CIC replica with Gman decals.

Looks awesome MM - yet another first! (y)thumbsup

For some perspective, here's the original BSG Station 16 Corridor Phone:

530.jpg

Item description:

This is a small corridor phone that hung on the wall of a corridor on Galactica. This phone typically accompanied a light up button screen to its right or left. This is a deliberately weathered phone made of plastic, and made to look rusted. Features worn rubber buttons and decals above and below number pad that read "Station 16" and "03 Sec 01 Hall." All buttons can be pressed and knobs are movable. This piece is not functional and is painted a navy blue with a black receiver piece.. Measures 7.25" x 10" x 4.5".
