Wish me luck. :confused

well here is one picture, I went out and bought a glue gun, than everything started going smooth I still have alot of work to do, this one is gonna need lots of bondo. I still need to do the ears, parts of the face, be gentle this is my first. sorry for the crappy picture, I had to use my webcam, because my iphone crapped out on me.

Good luck, the dome should be high, the jawlines should be slightly flared, not too much of a curvature on the eye area, and dont overdo the aerodynamic appearance of the nose. Great design.

Good choice on the helmet. Did you check the scale on the helmet before printing? The biker scout helmet provided by vagabond is from the TFU mesh and is a pretty accurate base to start with. Good luck on your first build.

The measurements are H280 W238 D314, I have a small head would this size work for me?

Question, I am using Nintendude's file to make the Biker Scout Helmet, it does not show a hinge for the facepiece, how did you guys make it work so the face piece opens up? im afraid that if I build it just like its shown in the picture aboue my head wont fit in the bottom opening, any help will be greatly appreciated, I will post pictures as soon as I get my phone fixed.

There are 2 pivot points on the faceshield.I don't see them on the pep pics you posted. I would show you but I'm on my phn. Wolf or Vagabond(nintendude)is a member here. Look him up.

Although I haven't built this helmet I would suggest building and glassing the helmet as is and get the dremel to define the hinge line. Then, design a ridge on the inside of the back half of the helmet and drill a hole to bolt the front half on. Now, as far as the scaling goes, my research has led me to the deduction that the helmets height is close to 260 mm. Experts please feel free to correct me if I'm off on my deduction of the total height measurement. Hope this helps.

ive decided to construct the faceshield separate, ill have to figure that put later, first i have to finish all the glueing and cutting, will post pics soon, thanks for all the help guys

Looks good so far. Also if you want it I know it's not accurate but it's my Low Def File for the Chest and Back, I'll be doing a High Def one here in the future that has all the detail on the back scoop (I think that's what it's called), and more detail all around but like I said this is just a Low Def one and I know I don't have the scaling right so feel free to rescale if you wish. Should have the HD file done by Monday hopefully if all goes well lately my computer mouse has been acting up it takes a few clicks to get it to rotate or move something.

Thank you, i will check it out I already printed out Nintendude's chest and back.

depending on how accurate you want to be, why not have the faceplate attach with magnets? I believe this method is used with some of the clone commander helmets?

So this is where I am at, lots of bondo and sanding to do to get it looking right.

That's starting to look really nice! You don't happen to have a copy of the file to share, do you? Me and my younger sister have wanted to make a Biker Scout Helmet for a couple years.

Thanks
