Con season in the Chicago area is starting to get into full swing. C2E2 is coming (http://www.therpf.com/f68/c2e2-2015-chicago-april-24-26-a-231640/) and right after that is ACen.
Biggest anime convention in the midwest and third largest in attendance in the country behind only Anime Expo and Otakon.
It's at the Donald E. Stephens convention center in Rosemont which is just a 15 minute drive from O'Hare International Airport. The Hyatt Regency O'Hare as the host hotel will also be hosting various events. It's basically a 72 hour party that always has something going on during the weekend at all times.

While it is mainly tailored towards anime and Japanese pop culture, just about every fandom is represented. From Marvel, DC, Doctor Who, MLP, and so on.
I'll be there all three days. My cosplay plans are already set. I'll be 2nd form Haseo (.hack//G.U.), genderbend Wo-Class (Kantai Collection) and Saber of Red (Fate/Apocrypha). Times and days are still undetermined until the gathering and panel schedules are finalized.
For those who don't know these characters:
Japanese band Scandal is the first major guest announced and they'll be performing at the arena across the convention center on the Friday of the con as part of their world tour. They will also be on site during the weekend to do a panel and signings. They're best known for songs from the Bleach and FMA: Brotherhood anime.
Just starting this thread to see who from this forum will be attending and hope to see some of you there!
