What was it called?

If I were a new recruit getting my suit, what would the quarter master call it?

TK armor?

IIRC, the TK armor from way back in '77 was constructed of a "High Alloy Impervium"...

The Empire refers to it as "light grade body armor." It's standard issue for the ground troops of the Imperial Navy.
They don't use "stormtrooper", as that's a Rebel term.
