Very hot vintage handwheel you've got there Patrice ... I see your 'h' and
raise it with the accompanying 'c' which arrived yesterday :lol

Are you going to try replicating the small lettering 'RES DEG' on the side as well :confused

I will just make a casting of the cap and adjust it to my replica.
Small letters would be too difficult, because original handwheel have molded metallic parts, but my replica is turned from solid steel...

in fact,it will be a 5 parts handwheel too,but parts will be different....

-main body(EMI shield)
-brass bolt, with integrated air circuit for radiator
-brass or copper radiator,to cool the cell controller ahah
-screwed top of main body,to maintain radiator removable for maintenance.
-cap,with windows for air circuit...removable or adjustable depending on planet temperature(that's why there is no cap on "tunisia lightsaber" haha)

I will try to add the very small slope on cube section...like on your (and my) AS handwheel.

Both are in very good condition, yours and mine, are there some very small corrosion nicks on yours?

I'm thinking about making a static replica now, using the true AS handwheel, and make a ROTS obiwan lightsaber:

-new emitter
-plain black grenade
-brand new graflex clamp
-all transistors in place
-covertec(no need to drill the AS handwheel!
-no bubble strip but a activator.

But...

ANH shape...RB replica parts,or home made parts...

Then,a pic of it,and the actual lightsaber,used,some mods,lost parts(red rim,some washers etc...),some replaced(activator and covertec replaced by bubble strip and D ring...

Yes mine is not completely flawless either but considering the possible usage for having running water in the shower or kitchen, these are in a very good condition . . . perhaps they even have never been used ... at all!

for me these items are new,a 30 or 40 years old used handwheel is not like this...

I took all measurments today...

Today I have worked on my OB1 replica pommel,I made the colling part, for energy cell controller
How it looks like for the moment:

Nice graphics too,

perhaps with english reference to the parts, would be more appropriate here?

:D

Here's a nice picture of the real use of the AS handwheels, mind you the ones on the tub have a different writing of armitage shanks on them . . . but still seem to have the same outer shape or do they?

seems the big item in the middle has bigger handwheels!
Can be interesting to buy a entre bathroom!
then, pick the knobs, and leave the bathroom...

I began the casting just today, make a partail mold of the cap(no feets) tomorrow I will make a waw shoot, and new feets from plastic, and maybe be happy to have a final shoot from metal in the next week...

today I make the screwing cap on the pommel, now it's near complete, just missing the AS replica cap.

What it gives when assembled:

Yes, the bath AS handwheels are bigger than the sink ones. The endcaps are the same size though.
