What I did for my quinlan vos and Sith stalker tatooine wraps is make a sleeve (in your case a gator) cut strips and actually tack it to the sleeve or gator. You can make the wraps look how you want and they don't move around on you. Plus you don't need to wrap your legs every time you put on the costume. It's good if you use a material with a bit of stretch. My wife used the same technique on her Hawkgirl

i did that with my tusken raider and wanted to go authentic i mean the other costumers of the group take forever to get dressed so it still wont take me 1/2 as long to get ready lol

It came out good there "Wormie".
You should look up Sean (Hanscicle) on here, he did a Luke Stormie for C4 & his wig looked great. I don't know if he altered an existing wig, but maybe he can help point you in the right direction for one like his.
