Just a caution, Kalevala Koru is known to be a pretty aggressive to defend their IP. They have been suing a lot of jewelry makers here in Finland at least.

I took some photos to help you:

Let me know, if you need photo from some specific angel. :)

Hi!
Can you please measure connect chain? Between panels there is a connect chain and this one is still a question for me..

Also, I have good news( off-topic, yeah, I am schocked in politic situation and can't stop everything, so just understand me.. :( ) - On this week I will check out my panels and closure - and if everything is Ok - will complete in silver and start sales( Also, need to get Premium here for making sale post. Also, I need help to understand if I can do a sale topic on the Rebel Legion forums, if someone are there - explain to me of how to sale there)

Outeside dimensions of the chain loop are 6,5mm x 5mm. Chain link is made from 1mm thick wire.
Thank you so much for the info! I am still in process of modelling panel.. but, I hope that on this week will show my models.

P.S. Because of situation in the World, I can't get Premium Membership ( because PayPal not work at my country nowadays). Shipping is working worldwide by earth, not air and my only way to get payments - through Payeer system. I am thinking about sale post on Rebel Legion or Facebook Princess Leia Cosplay group. I am so sad about everything, sorry everyone :(

I know that for what you have done takes a lot of skill and attention to detail. With that being said, I can say that it looks off. I think I have identified at least two of the issues.

The first thing I instantly noticed was that the panels looked too stubby. I am going to assume you had the correct information regarding panel width. So maybe you turned under too much material at the top, or possibly you did not allow for enough material for the turn under. It might simply be a matter of 1 mm or 2 mm but it is enough to make a visual difference.

The second thing I think is an issue is the left side of the dent. I believe the edge of the dent is too sharp, the transition on that side of the dent appears to be smoother on the real necklace. Also remember that the material of the original is a textured surface and it appears they did buff/polish the ridges of the dent areas. So it is possible that that process might help smooth that transition.

I am on same way! Yes, I will reshape and make more smooth left side!

Hello there! May I ask you again for measures? What sizes has panel? I see that width is 27mm( am I right?) and what's height?

Hello everyone!
I am almost done with necklace. Here is my test necklace from not silver.. What do you think? I am still trying to see, what I can remake..
Never really seen much star wars jewellery replicated but wow I have to say great job!! especially considering how hard it can be trying to replicate the nuances of the original

I was wondering what the height of the panel was if you also took into account the fold over at the top. In short, what was the height before it was bent?
That is a bit difficult to to measure because on the backside both corners have that connecting eye loop (is that what it is called in English? idk).

From the middle of the panel I would say it is 31mm including the curve and few millimeters of material on the backside. Measured from the side of the panel length is 35mm to the end of that eye hole on the backside.

These might be a little bit off as I had to use a soft ruler meant for measuring fabrics.

Thank you.

I know exactly what you are talking about because I have seen images of the backside.

The reason I asked was so that gingerygrace had the info. I think it is helpful for her to know that those details as well and not just the size of the front.

Thank you so much! Because mine sizes are 27mm width and 25mm height from both sizes. I think that 27mm is right for final size and I think that 26mm be possible for both sides, not only for left side. Kalevala Koru bought Lapponia and just copied original for casting, this is why those loops are there.
