Nope, I like it, but my point was that every director has some good movies and some bad movies and no director ought to get an automatic pass, just because you like some of their work.

Oh, I can agree on that. It's always been funny to me how they advertise movies sometimes--"From the creators/director/producers of/people who brought you..." Yeah, that's no assurance of quality.

Either way, I was more poking fun at the fact that I find it funny that you don't really seem to like anything.

From the creators of these generally well-liked movies, but we're not going to bring up the garbage they also made...

And I like lots of things, but they have to be genuinely good. A lot of things being made today simply are not. They are quick cash-grabs. They are made to appeal to the lowest common denominator. They are flash for the sake of flash. The effects don't make the movie better, they just make it prettier. That's not good.
