Ancient egyptian signet/cartouche ring

Maybe there are a few ancient egyptian history buffs on here I am thinking of making or at least attempting to make a copy of the famous ankhesenamun\aye cartouche ring, I was wondering if anyone else has attempted one of these and if anyone has any advice on how to go about making one. The original ring was made of stone. There are a few rings that I would like to get replicas of from egypt.

A picture would be nice. You can carve a ring out of really hard jeweller's wax if you're so inclined. We have at least two jewellers that are members, if memory serves right, and can probably answer your questions better. Not sure what kind of material to make it out of, perhaps a resin with a stone pigment mixed in.

I started working on king tut's cartouche after I went to visit the exhibit in nyc last month or so. I'll be working on it again soon, so lets keep in touch!

Aside from the numerous cartouche rings, ancient egypt has many items that would make good replicas. Rings, necklaces, weapons, palettes. Along with the cartouche rings I also have an interest in another form of ancient egyptian ring. Its a sort of seal ring as soon as i find a pic online i will post it.

Just learned that apparently theyhanded out clay or faience rings to celebrate certain occassions and these were not official rings but more like souvenirs when i look more into what they used i will report it.

There is a way better way to do these signet rings than in clay or stone......does anyone do 3d cads??? if you catch my drift.
