Anchoring Stunt Blades

Hey yawl

I've been searching to no avail, did anyone ever dig up how the floor effects people in star wars ESB and ROTJ anchored the stunt blades inside a graflex or tube saber prop? (Barbicon, pipe "graflexes", Shared Stunt, V2, any fake MPPs)

I think the graflex sabers used screws that were hidden by the red button. i know I've seen others do it that way.

I could see counter-sunk screws like these and the ROTJ Vader saber...the red button's threads are very small

Still, non-graflex sabers I remember reading ideas of a tube filled with resin or something? I just don't see large screws enough to anchor a blade for whacking on most of these props..
