The top center (on top of Centurion hull) gray bar-cage part with winglets is from the Airfix 1/72 Arado 196, part #33.
I'm not sure that's a gas can. It looks like this one to me. 1/35 Tamiya Leopard A4.Upper left gas can is from Bandai 1/24 M60, I believe. It's definitely larger than a 1/35 tank.
Nice! I think you're right, that's definitely the shape.I'm not sure that's a gas can. It looks like this one to me. 1/35 Tamiya Leopard A4.

That's the Anzio Annie, one of the "favorite" of the ILM kits. Hasegawa, 1/72 scale, part #C11
Thanks Sean.FWIW - the last two parts you've been talking about were Definitively ESB add-ons, neither that gas can like part or the round vent were present for ANH. (one of the best public references is the Color Crayola box pic (in Chronicles) - pretty much nails those parts not there). Remember, the Chronicles B&W pics were taken AFTER filming of ANH - so you're finding a number of parts that were post ANH when you use those references. Just depends which Falcon you want to build.
Oh, interesting! That picture doesn't "totally" satisfy or prove the point, but it satisfies my curiosity, and certainly makes the case that it was not used as an air vent hole, which, if it was, I would think the "insert" part would be snugged flush to the body panel, whereas this pic shows it sitting proud of the surface as if there is nothing underneath it but solid plastic. That's a nice angle, and very helpful.I looked at a couple sets of the Annie and still didn't see the piece. I even looked through two different sets of instructions. Who knows.
As far as the vent, this pic shows a little better angle. Not sure if there is a hole under there.

Yeah. This is better view. The circled part gives it away. I'm guessing on the scale though. They also make a bigger version but I think 1/72 is right.Yes, I think you're right. In the pictures I have, it looks like the whole bottom half of the wing was used, with some trimming.
