Hi all,
And now for something completely different for a lifelong aircraft builder!

A few years ago a friend sold me this box very cheap, and inside was enough for two full figures except the boots for one (as pictured below). As you can see the box art does not do the mould justice as it is very well sculpted.

Only a few minutes of cutting, filing and some CA resulted in this:

Not a bad fit but definitely room for improvement. I'm using Vallejo Plastic Putty for the gaps and seams.

As for scale, I'm guessing he's 1/6 given the size. Here he is with a common household item for comparison:

Well, I thought it was funny!

As there's 1.75 Han Solos in the box I have a cunning plan: the full figure will be the classic character from ANH, while the bootless parts of the second will be a bust of older Han from The Force Awakens.

I've never painted a figure larger than 1/24 so while I have plans and ideas I am open to advice and tutorials.

Stay tuned!

Looking forward to it

Not sure if you were already planning on it, but I see a lot of figure painters use oils for the skin/face as it really helps with blending (unless you are familiar with the two brush blending technique some wargaming painters use for blending acrylics)

Even if you lay down the initial skin tone base in acrylic with an airbrush after you do some washes (I prefer red one and a separate olive green one going either more red or olive depending on skin tone I am looking for) you can follow that up with some white and flesh colored oils to do the highlighting and some brown or red and green ones for some shading

You will have a long working time to blend and fix things
