Amphenol catalogue

HI everyone.

I work with Amphenol connectors almost daily, including spec'ing replacements and mates for older ones. That's the bad news.

The good news is that I have a catalogue that I use to assemble the connectors from. I have attached it here. They use these extensively in military and commercial aircraft, so these were certainly harvested for the films.

Once you figure out what connector you want (not easy- their numbering system makes less sense than a dental floss vendor cart at a Willie Nelson concert) you can order them from Digi-Key or Allied electric. Finding the correct ones there is almost as difficult as deciphering the Amphenol catalogue.

Basically, there is a "frame" size, and within the frame, there are inserts. Mainly I've seen the male pins in a panel mount shell, such as on Cassian Andor's headphones when he gets word to assassinate Erso. I've seen them all over the place, so this might be helpful.

TIP: there are Mil spec, and industrial spec connectors, which as identical, other than (maybe) the finish, and the sheet of paper certifying the connector. Industrial ones are usually cheaper, but not always, so sort by price.
