alterations that could benefit a real bb8 robot prop

I think I have figured out a way to make a working BB8 that wont loose it's head when it comes to an abrupt stop, I saw these plans and modified the connection between the head and body in my mind, I thought if there was a large metallic dome the bb8 head would have magnets strewn around the head, strong enough to keep the head on bb8 when the droid prop comes to an abrupt stop but also allow it to freely move, "as for the imbalance since the droid is a sphere I thought on the bottom of the rig that's inside the sphere should be weights so gravity would hold the sphere still, the wheels on the rig should probably be gripped so there is less imbalancing on the rig, again this is just alterations to a design I found on google.

Look up xrobots (James Bruton) on YouTube. He built two fully working full-size BB-8. It works a bit like what you are describing.

Have you researched astromech.com ? They have a section dedicated for bb8. Working droids have been completed there. The people are great and always willing to help
