Are the screws on the top of the plugs anywhere near similar? Looks like quite a bit of difference to me?
The plugs have one brass and one steel screw. Their positions could be reversed and the GJ and HA both appear to have some gray paint on the front screw.

The twist plugs look identical to me, the only difference is that the HA is sanded more neatly than the GJ. These shots are from the same photo with the same amount of zoom.

Nope, not even that close. All I did was take your pic and add a ruler to both plugs. The scale is right for that little gold piece in the middle of the plug. But NOTHING else lines up. These are way off. That's why I indicated this way back in post #57.

The position of the phasers relative to the camera, plus possible lens distortion makes such a comparison useless. If they were right next to each other maybe. Given the identical appearance of the plugs I have to assume they are in fact the same.

↑ That. Given it is unlikely the camera was the same distance from each phaser, the GJ and the fake at the time of the picture. Robn1 using software to bring them to about the same size for visual reference is not accounting or adjusting for that initial variance from camera to subject.

I called it.

I'm just surprised the seller would be willing to sell knowing what eventuality will come to bite him in the ass.

Or is it all on Heritage???

As if this entire story could not stink any more. We really do not have a clear way to know if this really sold or if the buyer was a fake as well.

$375K? No thank you.

No matter who it sold to, or IF it even sold and isn't just sitting in-house, that offer to by it at hammer price is a very cute twist.

I would bet a LOT of money that this secondary sale would come with a contract including such flowery language as SOLD AS IS WHERE IS and NO GUARANTEES OR WARRANTIES ARE IMPLIED AS TO THE VERACITY OR PROVENANCE OF THE ITEM ETC ETC ETC

An interesting way to absolve themselves of the item and the auction, while still collecting a paycheck. It still won't wash the filth off of this debacle,
