All new re-worked Viper (is that an oxymoron?)

Okay, I'm nearly done (like 99%).

BTW, those are all new pipes on the sides; the ones as they come on the Revell kit look like toy crap, I decided.
Two months & countless hrs...

Better pix coming when 100% done & we get a sunny day here in Mass (models can be *made* to look good in controlled lighting, but natural sunlight manifests the truth of it, I find.

*falls over*

Nice! Just need to dirty it up a bit more. I plan to use pastel chalks on mine, it's fast and easy, and easy to change if necessary (just wipe it off). I know you don't want the studio level of dirt, just vary the gray monotone a bit.

Did you rework the canons, or are those the resin replacements?

I tore the thin little triangles off & built new ones in the correct angles & position from sheet styrene.
I love sheet styrene.
I used to just cannibalize cheap kits...:lol

Oh, and the pix (taken in cloud cover here just before it stated raining *again*) don't show the subtle variations in the hull colour very precisely.
But I plan to dirty it a bit more using natural clay (there's a ton of it around here)- rub it on, wash it off, and it stains the flat gray nicely.:thumbsup

And here's a pic of the total squadron:

The three primitive ones in front are my personal ones, the center one was made in 1979-80!!!! :confused

Okay- weathered. I went light- tried to make it look more onscreen than studio model. Final comments?

Very nice. Wonderful to see the old classics remembered.
Remembered, honoured, bowed to... :lol
When I was a little kid I used to watch Buck Rogers & Flash Gordon (the 30's-40's ones) on TV & get a real kick outta them!
NOW, Galactica is like THAT for my Son!!! How time flies, eh?
(Except that Galactica is WAAAAAAY cooler, ship-wise!!!):thumbsup
