Aliens Pulse Rifle

Is there an Airsoft gun out there that is close to a Aliens Pulse rifle? I've wanted one of these for awhile but there just isn't the funds. So if there is a airsoft that is close to one I believe I could get close with redoing one for myself.

Thanks in advance

Hey dude,

I'm no expert but the Aliens Pulse Rifle is based on a WW2 Thompson SMG. You might wanna try and get one of those and locate some of the more unique 'upgrades' to convert it into a M41 A1. :)

Hope this helps.

Stay safe.

Tim.

There are LOTS of PR options available for you, from real nice resin models to versoins made from demilled firearms. There was an airsoft kit that cost around $700 (You could get it from Hong Kong airsoft places, Parks Sabers and others) but I think it has been discontinued. (Honestly... it felt a bit plastic-wonky and it wasn't too accurate.) I think Monsters In Motion does a really good resin kit.

Put a thread in the JY and see what happens- you're boind to get some answers. Expect to pay at least 2-300 for a good kit.

Good luck :)

I picked up a kit from Airsoft Extreme in Cali, it was in the $700 range, and I think they sell them seasonally. It isn't ultra accurate (I am sure there is someone that can give an exact parts breakdown on the minute details) but it most definitely looks like a pulse rifle and every one of my friends that has come over and played with it loves the thing.

If you want a fun toy replica that fires full auto, I think the kits are pretty damn cool, a bit pricey but cool and fun.

You gotta be careful about which airsoft Thompson you get. The inexpensive ones are the wrong model. The correct one is the Maruzin, which costs something like $300.

Rumour has it a springer M1A1 thompson is on the way fairly soon, if you don't want to spent hundreds on the base gun (most of which is discarded to make the pulse rifle anyway).

Rumour also has it, the G&P kit from Japan is about to be re-released too, an improved model with stronger shrouds. (the fellows at airsoft atlanta told myself and Derek this)

Toyko Marui makes an excellent electric airsoft thompson that the G&P kit is designed for. The TM costs around $300, and the G&P used to go for around $400 I do believe. Don't quote me. Be aware you will have to purcahse the shorter magazine too, the one that comes with is too long.

Hudson makes a nice PFC replica of the M1A1 as well. This goes for about $700 - $900 all by itself. Sold regularly by modelguns.co.uk

DON"T buy the model 1928, with the charging handle on the top and the boxy upper, like this:

You want the charging handle on the side, and you need these grooves where the upper reciever meets the grip frame for the shroud to fit on. Like so:

Wilco/Dreadnaught-Industries makes a resin and styrene model for the more skilled builders among us. I recently painted the reciever that comes with the kit in krylon ultra flat black to give it a nice parkerized look.

The Monsters in Motion version, I believe BEFORE Tom got ahold of it and improved it.

And there is always the ebay classic chunky funky all resin Pulse Rifle is you really want it, it's still around from time to time.

Hope this helps. :D

Noeland's post is probably the best run down I've seen a long time. :thumbsup

This has been a project long on my "To do" list. It really is going to take $700 to $1000 to do it right, and I just haven't found the extra cash... yet. :love

Are you wanting something that shoots airsoft bb's? Or a static version, or one that is made like the ones the studio built, using real gun parts? That last option will cost a fortune, but it won't get any more accurate that that. The SPAS-12 parts are almost impossible to find today. Some of the board members here offer great resin parts to help you build your own. Post your wants in the JY.

I'm nearly finished on a frankenstein pulse rifle which will be up for sale soon. It started life as a Wakal Kit, added metal barrel frames & stock, more hand made metal parts, replaced pins trigger etc from Monsters in Motion kit, MIM Spaz cage, working static LED counter, Brown Bess paint job & lots more blood sweat & tears to make it look pretty. I'll be posting some pics next week... I have some in progress shots I want to share. I got the Wakal kit first & started upgrading parts until I had enough leftovers to make another pulse rifle. My keeper is mostly MIM now.

I'm going for the airsoft version. I don't want a solid resin chunk o' nuthin. And the demilled ones make no sense to me at all from a cost perspective. At least with the airsoft version, I can shoot it too.

I'm currently waiting for a set of parts from www.matsucorp.com - His first attempt at a kit to be mounted on a Marui Thompson I believe.
Usually he just sells static models - Which are stunning to behold.

I will, of course, post plenty of pics when the bits show up.

Well, between my Wilco kit, and Icons recasting, I still don't have my "ultimate" pulse rifle. I'll probably end up in stages.

Airsoft G&P/TM combo will probably be next for me.

Then later, a Matsuo shroud over a PFC hudson with a demilled 870 in a steel or aluminum replica cage.

Then MUCH later, a firing Thompson over a real spas cage with a real cut down, firing 870, wrapped in a steel shroud made as they were made for the film. :thumbsup

That one is called the holy grail. :angel

I have every intention of getting a class 3 license later in life if I start working on bigger film projects. Which is my goal. :D

AH, to dream . . . B)

Njc------------------------

I'm just looking for a static display piece. My funds will take years to recoup due to an on going divorce I have time now but no cash. Thats why I was looking for a close to airsoft that might be cheaper route to go.

See, the pulse rifle is the baddest of the bad. So, for me, having one that looks great just to hang on the wall will kick all kinds of ass. But if I can also take it down off the wall, and shoot my friends with airsoft bb's, it will be even cooler. :lol

Which Tom is this? Is he still a member here?

thomas;)

I would like to some parts from that kit for my Home made PR. ;)

Yeah, the progress is looking good, and hey, don't let having to register deter you, it's a good board.
