ALIEN universe prop show off (This Means You!)

About the facehugger. EVERY SINGLE TIME I see the facehugger scene from Alien or the scene where Ripley almost gets "got" in Aliens, I get uncomfortable. My heart races. I can't handle it. And I KNOW its a movie. :lol:lol:lol:lol

I don't really collect alien(s) stuff (much as I love it all) but have a couple vac formed wall panels. I've had these for years from when the moulds were still at Pinewood, although a couple have got a little crushed at the back of my garage..

WOW, very cool !!!

:cool

it's the first time I see something like that... Do you have any idea where they were used in the sets ? The one on the right looks familiar... seen on the bridge, maybe ?

Love your laser gun SKIN JOB 66

Here are some pieces of my Alien/Aliens collection (mostly it's stuff I can actually wear). Other stuff slowly on the work is a Nostromo jacket and a motion tracker from each of the first two films.

Note: for the "Ripley" Seiko watch I've also got the black buttons but I haven't found time yet to have them swapped.

Jonesy,

Where exactly do spare black buttons come from? The house poltergeist (if you know what I mean) seems to have caused one of mine to mysterously break. I'm not sure how permanent superglue's going to be, and I do wear the watch from time to time.

I basically tracked down the last existing pair in the World haha. I found them separately, took months and months of hard work.

Superglue will do the trick if you don't EVER touch it again (I know it's hard not to press those buttons from time to time!).
I suggest you to buy a yellow one (a bit easier to find, they appear on ebay from time to time) and spray paint it with a matching black.

.

Thanks Jonesy !

The lower scope came from a Master Replicas rebel blaster I found on eBay at a really, really good price years ago... It adds some weight to the gun and the clear front cover is perfect looking.

I aged it by applying graphite all over the body for a more realistic finish.

If interested, drop a line to morgan13, I'm sure he still makes them...

:love

Is the gun real or a replica? I mean the gun on which the prop is based?
It looks like a fun project to build but I already have no time for my other... 2 or 3 projects. Can't even remember how many open projects I have anymore lol

Yes Jonesy, it's based on a real weapon, a REXIM-FAVOR (this gun was also used at an early preprod stage of ANH as a basis for a stormtrooper blaster)

What I meant is... is your prop based on a real Rexim-Favor or is based on a replica?

Thanks for the links though, should have known to check on Propsummit, another goldmine of information. Again, compliments on the prop, personally I think it's the coolest looking sci-fi pistol! (and it didn't even have much screen time or seen in action)
