Alien queen inner jaw?

You're talking about a life-size part for your Alien Queen, yeah?

I've never seen anything like that offered in the 7 years I have been here - not too many people have life-size Alien Queens! Maybe someone will chime in and prove me wrong, but I doubt anyone has made this specific piece for a run here.

I'm sure you could commission it from one of our sculptors, but it wouldn't come cheap.

You seem to have a lot of skills, your build thread is awesome. Couldn't you try your hand at sculpting one?

BTW just found this when I googled it. Now we know at least 1 person in the world has one:
Alien Queen Jaw Stolen From Museum | SFX - page 0

And a photo of the screen used AQ tongue from AVP:

Have they never recovered the tongue then? Such a shame :(

I made one for my Bob but its a fair bit smaller than your Queen tongue & quite different in design.
I guess from memory the Queen tongue must be about the size of a fist & arm? its pretty big isn't it :confused
Do you have lots of ref pics of it? doesn't look to be too dificult to make...Give it a go :)

The original 1986 prop was displayed at E3 here in Los Angeles last month (part of the Aliens: Colonial Marines display), and the tongue was intact and looked original. The prop isn't in great shape these days, with portions of the tail missing (so it was just assembled shorter), and parts of the neck are coming apart and hanging loosely.

I only took a few pictures, but you can see a bit of the tongue in this one:

I'm just guessing, but that doesn't look like the actual screen-used Queen prop from the film. It looked like a hodge podge of recast parts... but, like I said, that's just my guess. I saw it in person too.

It took my friend 10 yrs to get his from hansing after the cease order, but it's cast off the actual one.check on the hive,or the lair.

That doesn't look anything like the queens inner jaw. The movie
jaw was myuch more boxey looking and the end jaw was much bigger
then the rest of it. That one looks pretty streamline to me.

I wondered about that as well, and was initially skeptical. The signs said it was the original prop, at least. I saw the original on display only once before, at the LA Museum of Science and Industry back in the 80s. If it was a recast, it was certainly old and beat up, missing parts (including a heavily-yellowed clear tooth), and put back together poorly. The shape that it was in was the best indicator (to me) that it might actually have really been the original. The top of the neck wasn't connected to the bottom of the head either, and you could see some armature looking stuff behind the hanging/drooping neck parts.

The only indication of any restoration was maybe a new paint job or two over the years. It was hard to tell under the colored lights. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a missing part or two that a recast part filled in for. Then again, if they went to that trouble, I would have guessed they would have fixed the tail better and replaced the tooth.

Here's a front shot with the missing tooth.

the one in the photos looks pretty org. to me, maybe its a replica from the mold.

the Queen i have is from Distortions, everything looks the same... the arms the crown, but the face looks different, im still not sure to keep it or cut it off, and mold/attach bruce's queen face :confused

yeah, i dont see ppl making the queen tongue online, i will just custom one myself.

She and I worked on a funny musical together that was
based on "Alien " and "Aliens 2"....( it was set to the music of Queen.... and, yes it
was hysterical) Anyway, she made some amazing giant Alien puppets/ and mechanisms for them...
She's super talented and might be able to help you out...
