Im working on a replica of Parker’s greasy magazine, He’s reading it when the crew waits in front of the med lab, expecting some news about Kane
It’s not quite finished, I have to add the different national prices at the top, some shade to the pretty lady’s hair and change the blue text font.
I was always impressed of those ´sexual´ aspects of Alien, not just the Alien, this creepy sadomaso fighter, but always the atmosphere on board and between the crew. I mean, come on, which normal society allows male co-workers decorate the dining hall with nude pictures and to read porn magazines right next to the women of the crew?!
If someone has information about the magazine that Ash (a sperm sweating, oral fetished robot) is rolling up to kill Ripley, I appreciate it!

Edit: just checked it now sry... this is not some kind of bad joke for women’s day, just a inappropriate coincidence!

I don’t know if that’s a known fact and I just missed it?

You're welcome! Google Translate translates the top text into "dazzling day and night", which suggests another adult magazine. There also appears to be an Italian publication (the one with giochi e passatempo). The fiesta magazine is from 1977, so the others might be from around that time too.

Thanks to your research, I found it!!!

It’s a Japanese adult magazine called “Heibon punch” whatever this means... the pic is a good template for a digital remake...
I’ll upload the fiesta and the heibon soon, thanks again for your help!!!
Yeah finding the watch advertisement and the Italian newspaper is not gonna be easy, but I’ll try!

Are you going for 100% accuracy, or just your interpretation of the piece? I ask because there are a lot of spacing issues, where you have too much or too little distances between some stuff, plus you might want to seek out advice from Roland who will be able to nail down the correct fonts and stuff for you.

I actually found the Fiesta on amazon.uk and ordered it, so I’m able to reproduce a very screen-accurate scan of it soon!
