Alien Nostromo Flashlights

Well, the drain is already something to add to our list of parts(y)(y)
I'm still not sure
This is the closest thing I've found in several hours of searching for drain kit ringsI don't know if I'm digging into empty mine or my path is correct lol

I can't find anything else.... :(

I easily find the stadium grid used in Ash's radar, and I thought it might be from the same company... but no...

More than 10 hours of searching, what do you guys think?

I went down the axial air mover rabbit hole without any luck, but finding appropriate vintage units was not really happening. The base shape and handle angle seemed about right so I thought I would try.

Romulus (no spoilers) is of course packed with Alien design, but I thought I saw Andy carrying a similar lamp at the beginning?

I always wondered if that handle/bottom part combo was, somewhat, from a oil plastic jug cut to fit the lamp/drain parts:unsure::unsure:

Possible, but it would have to be quite a substantial one. It has a look of a hedge trimmer handle moulding, but I researched them from that decade and found nothing similar - again!

I’ve wanted one of these for a long time and I’ve looked at all possible types of torches and components, but I’ve been unable to track anything down and I’m in the UK.

Someone on another forum thought they may have been used for diving, so I asked a photographer friend of mine and his contact specializes in underwater photography / lighting, and collects older lights, torches and catalogues.

Unfortunately, he’d never come across anything similar and wasn’t able to find anything in his reference library. So, another dead end.

The only thing I know for certain is they operate on mains powered, as the cables in a few scenes.

It appears unlikely that I / we are ever going to stumble across whatever they were made from, so it looks like the only way I’m ever going to own a replica is to scratch build it using good old fashioned modelmaking skills with just a hint of 3d printing.

Okay, guys.

We know there are two versions of the lamp

.Both have common parts assembled in different ways

.A handle, a ring and a kind of rear conical grid... the lower bulbs also seem to be the same.

The rest, which would be the body of the flashlight, seems to be molded around those pieces differently for the two versions.
