Alien derelict scratch build

Hi every one, here is another of my models which is now in a private collection, a large scale alien derelict space craft from the film alien, all built from plastic sheet and a few kit parts, and a great deal of stretched sprue, I had to use a bit of artistic license here but it turned out quite well after taking me ages to get the main structure completed.
please let me know what you think and be honest as this will help me to improve on my next projects.

Truly amazing Barrie. Good on you for attempting something as bold as this ship. When I first looked at the thumbnail pictures I thought, " Another 3D build ", but I was wrong. You are doing exactly what I would do when scratchbuilding a model. Keep up the good work.)

Getting these complex and "unnatural" / "otherworldly" shapes correct is truly a challenge. I once test-built a paper model of the Derelict which was designed in an ingenious way, very sturday and the texture was fantastic:

The ribbing and skinning procedure of yours is very interesting and remembers me of scratch-building a ship or airplane. Excellent build so far!
