Alien chestbuster,

Hi everyone

I am new to this forum so lets introduce myself,my name is Maurice and i live in the Netherlands.
At the moment i am working on a T800 skull and Alien chestburster at the same time,
i bought the vinyl kit from Ebay of a guy in thailand(the same Ebayer i bought the T800 skull from)
Here are some pics of the progress so far.
As the model doesn't sit by itself because of the round belly i flatten the belly with a heat gun
so it doesn't tip over as you can see in the picture.

The next step is to fill up the tail with a rubber hose and steel rod
to keep the tails original shape and to keep the curl in shape
once i curled the tail with the heat gun.

I glued the tail together and let it dry overnight.
I heated the tail with the heat gun and shaped it the way i wanted to and i must say it was pretty easy to do
and the curl came out well.

Before i glue the tail on i have to put some weight in the belly of the chestburster
because the tail is heavier than the torso.

I hope you like my project so far.

Greetz Maurice.

Thank you!
I'm not sure what paint i am going to use,it is my first time building a prop so i am still exploring.
I have seen someone painting it with a brush and airbrush.
Do you maybe have any suggestion wich paint i should use on vinyl?

Did some work on the chestburster today.
I found this big magnet that was sitting on a shelf that i totaly forgot about and had an idea of using it as a platform for the chestburster, all i had to do was to put a socket inside the torso and fill it with wallplaster.
The magnet does it's work very well because you really neede some muscle to pull the prop of the magnet.
Finaly i have glued the tail on.
Next step will be filling the little gaps were the tail parts are connected with putty en then painting the model (this must be the hardest part i think), well we wil see.

Use an automotive primer on the vinyl like Duplicolor, if you have it over there or something similar. Never use enamel on vinyl, it won't dry. After priming you can use whatever type of paint you want.

A little update,
Experimenting with some colors
and put some blood on it.
Next thing i am going to do is put some liquid latex here and there and peel it back a little so you get more of an organic look.
