Score (no pun intended) yet another fine soundtrack masterpiece by Danny Elfman. I love his use of choirs in the background to give each piece of music an eerie feeling as if he were channeling Oingo Boingo!~:love

That's the joke. Burton not using Elfman would be like Burton not casting Helena Botham Carter or Johnny Depp in one of his films. Just doesn't happen often.

Just listened to the entire album. Good but way to many Alice Reprises which repeats over and over and over! Also their is a hint of Batman in the composition but of course it is the same composer!

Why are there so many haters of Tim Burton? (Video was funny though!) He makes some great movies and even brought back Stop Motion Animation back into popularity (considering Nightmare B4 Xmas is extremely successful film). Same holds true for Danny Elfman. Granted he was the front man for one of the most famous and non-dated sounding band ever (Boingo). Creative, talented, excellent song writer, composer, etc.
As far as Mr. Depp he is number one hot actor this moment. According to Forbes he is the highest paid actor now. He will be pocketing well over $40 million for POTC 4.

People that make as aesthetically outlandish and bold, expressionistic choices as Burton and Depp do are going to have anti-fans.
Back to the topic at hand, I've been listening to the score today, and am loving it so far. Very much getting me into the mood to see it tonight. Can't wait. It's been a long couple of years. :thumbsup
