Alice in Wonderland... Change up. What was YOUR favorite scene?

Here's hoping the oraculum pics I sent around will manifest into a great replica ... even though the incredbile art on the prop didn't make it into the movie.

Funny you mention it because I am working on it today. The images of the jabberwocky, tweedles, etc are actually on istockphoto in color. Just gotta do em in b&w and get on the writing. I MAY be able to use photoshop or illustrator and piece them together and sharpen the colors.

Did you by chance see if the writing was actual english or jibberish?

Yep, I noticed too... It was a nice Oraculum, but the one in the exhibition was way more ornate and impressive... Also it does have some famous illustrations from the books... It would have been a nice nod to them:)

And I had a lot of favourite scenes... The fight between Alice and the Jabberwocky was really good from start (the pan over the ground to reveal the Jabberwocky) to finish (the head falling to the ground)...
When tiny Alice crosses the river jumping over the heads...
The white queen doing the recipe (her reaction to the smell of the finger was priceless:lol)
The Cheshire cat in every moment, but especially when the Hatter was in jail and at the execution...
And many more... Like I said I loved the entire movie, probably I would have changed only the futterwaken bit, but that's all (and I'm not entirely sure I would have changed it...:))

I would say my favorite line is 'stupid girl'. I cant help but to use that, of course only in joke =)

Saw it yesterday and fell asleep before she fell down the hole. It was the middle fo the afternoon. Woke up a little later and wish I hadn't. Just a boring go nowhere film. The whole theater seemed resltess aside from a few kids and two teenage girls.

nickytea, got the new visual book from Alice in Wonderland and there happens to be a nice print of the oraculum and so, I am going to go ahead and make it.

Re: Alice in Wonderland... Saw it, Loved it, Gotta see it again

I'm sorry, but this pretty much sealed the deal for me that i am NOT finishing my Mad Hatter costume. The movie was mediocre at best. Visually it was amazing, but character-wise it was a big letdown.

Darth! Like putting on your Captain Jack costume you will get twice NO THRICE the reaction when you don the Hatter costume!!!

Captain Jack Sparrow? Who is that?:lol

You need to finish your Hatter mate! You need too!

Saw it last night in 3-D with a friend and we really enjoyed it! Thought the art direction was absolutely fantastic, the music was good and not overbearing for Elfman, and the acting was good as well for what it was. I've worked with several people on the crew, (including the director & costume designer) so I went to see & support their work.
The little dance at the end was the only thing that seemed out of place to me, but the kids in the theatre loved it.
