Alabama prop builders/collecters

Since Forbidden Zone is doing a NY prop collecters thread, here's one for AL prop guys. Since everyone I speak to about props down here always has that "I'm bored as hell from your LONG discussion on the discoveries on the Obi Wan saber's parts (or any other subject for that matter) and I'm trying my hardest to even LOOK interested." look on their face, I've decided to see if I'm not the only prop nut down here :p .

Well... I'm kinda close to Alabama if that helps :p I live about 30 miles east of the Georgia/Alabama line (but work in Atlanta).

i was one of the few who were a bama prop collector...i moved to florida about 5 years ago though....what part of bamma you from?

Just moved to Birmingham from Muscle Shoals. Sad part is my armor and all my tools and props are in storage. :(

One more Bammer here..

Just north of birmingham...

We have prop parties at my place semi-regularly, mostly the 501st members around the area.. maybe i can arrange one now that i have more room...

Sweet. I was just in Birmingham this weekend camping at Oak Mountain State Park. Pretty much sucked. What do you do at your prop parties, other than the 501st members (I'm not THAT big of a stormtrooper fan, no offense).

You mean the martians finally let you go? Where have you been lately.

Well after the Martians finally let me go I got recruited to work at the Space and Rocket center as the graphic/web designer. Been busy doing that mostly and little things here and there. But it is pretty cool coming to work and gawking at the Liberty Bike from American Choppers during the week. *droool

I live in Alabama, between Brimingham and Atlanta, GA...not sure if I qualify, though. I have only recently been dragged into the prop world through Firefly...I have posted my Browncoat and pistol already. Prior to this, I was a medievalist (still am); Ren Faire producer/fighter and Renaissance costumer. Actually enjoying the change.
