Airsoft question ?????

hey guys

this may be a dumb, no make that a stupid post but since these will NEVER BE FIRED OR USED IN PUBLIC im gunna take the newbie route and ask
i have a KWA G17 , G19 and a G23 im planing to make a display case for these guns and im needing to know how to remove the painted on red tips???? keep in mind that 2 of these are broken and they will be locked in a display case

It is pretty difficult and time consuming if the slide and barrel are plastic (which they are). It also depends on the kind of paint that was used.

Nail polish remover or paint remover with acetone will eat at the plastic slide. Non-acetone nail polish remover may remove it, but it will take some serious time and elbow grease. It will also "gloss" the plastic so the area that you worked on will have a glossier finish than the rest. You can also try paint thinner, but be sure to check it has no acetone. The other option is to gently sand it off using fine grit sandpaper.

Just paint over the tips. It's a lot easier and much faster

true. i just used a matching color paint to paint the tip of my AK-47 airsoft rifle.

Or just buy a new barrel or slide depending on where the paint is:

accually the slide is metal so could the acetone work??
