Hey everyone
This is my very first post so please be nice haha. I have been asked by a friend to make the Ahsoka Fulcrum (Rebels/Mandalorian) Blades so wanted to share the process and my ideas so far with you. Hope you like
Designs were made on fusion 360, based on references from the Mandalorian (and documentaries on)
Cant really afford to be machining the hilt so im going to test out elecroplating in copper then nickel, and then perhaps a small frame inside using M2 threaded rods.

So this weekend I’ve been playing around with possible Kyber Crystal Chambers for either a display only set, or the working set.
Making a couple of Crystals too which will be cast in clear epoxy resin with an LED inside and I’m tempted to somehow make them look like they’ve been brought back from being made to bleed...maybe some red veins thru the bottom of them?

Hey guys and gals

been busy with other projects the last few weeks but had some time to crack on with this build.

managed to swipe the last 2 Verso boards from The Sabour Armoury and found some ws2812beco (BSF lighting too) on AliExpress for £6.50 p/m. Shocked that everything arrived within 5days. Just waiting for the blade tubes etc and I can get the blades built

still unable to afford machining aluminium of the hilt body halves but I’m going to experiment with cold casting using aluminium powder. I’m hoping that combined with the solid inner frame will give quite a lot of strength to the build

struggling a little trying to get my head around the wiring and resistors etc as electronics just don’t seem to want to stick in my head.

would love to hear any feedback and /or advise

have a great day :)

So, after managing to burn thru 2 Verso boards I put the project to one side for a while whilst I worked
on some other things (including my soldering skills)
Got back to it again and had to look into an affordable alternative to the Verso board. I’ve gone with adafruit’s feather m4 and feather wing prop maker. All pretty basic but seems to get the Job done.

I think the cold casting looks pretty decent, will be posting more in depth versions of each stage if anybody is interested

would love to know what you think, they should be finished in the next week or so, although I’ve run out of silicone rubber and aluminium powder, along with the funds to get more so may be a little longer haha
