Agents of Shield - Night Night Pistol Gun

Having just watched the recent episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I thought it would be cool to see a replica made of the "Night Night Gun" pistol.
Here's some reference screengrabs if anyone wants to take a crack at it, or maybe it's a modified air-pistol that's already available, and they just spiced it up.

I really like the blue/grey colour scheme of the gun, it's not something you often see used and I think it gives the prop a cool look, especially with the light up blue side vents.

I thought the exact same thing when I saw the episode. Looking at your pictures though, I sure can't tell what, if anything, was used as the base for it.

When you think of how much cheaper, easier, and most importantly FASTER it is to 3D print I don't doubt it. For my personal projects I can model things so much faster than I can afford to print. I have low priority projects in my Shapeways account that I keep thinking "Some Day". In TV and Movies being able to produce numerous identical props must be a God sent.

I would love to, but too much on my plate right now.

It is a cool design, perhaps someone with the 3D modeling skills would be able to make one.

I build 3d printed models for Marvel on a freelance basis. Not sure how they would feel about Me personally making the Night Night Gun but I could model it at least. Just finished the S.H.I.E.L.D badge and Noisy Cricket from MIB so it would be a simple task for me to build one :)

A "Night Night" pistol would be a neat prop to own, but I wouldn't want you to jeopardise your position doing freelance work for Marvel as it is a big privilege to work for them.
Hopefully they will license Efx to make a replica.

What else have you made made for Marvel if you don't mind telling us?

Thanks for your input.

Sorry guys- There is no base gun, it was designed in the computer and 3d printed. It was deliberately meant to have the same design lineage with the Night Night Rifle- they are the same colors.

I'm not sure replicas are a good idea ;)

If we are doing multiples, it's still faster and cheaper to mold and cast- unless they are small one piece items. The finish work to sand out all the layer lines on a 3d print is pretty time consuming on large pieces, it's faster to finish one to a nice surface and then mold/cast.

Yeah, take those replica shenanigans to another forum, this is the Rep-- oops.

You broke off there, I think you were typing "Rep-Marvel and the licensee for Agents of SHIELD replicas are reading this" forum. Must have been an internet glitch!

You know what, I don't care what anyone out there says, CLEARLY this place is still a fun, open resource for fans to share research and support each other's individual projects! In light of your hilarious signature quote, I must assume you are making a reverentially sarcastic spoof of the completely off-base accusations of fear-mongering around these parts.

I applaud the insightful, meta-referential wit of your response.

Back to the topic at hand: At least with eFX producing it, this might be a pistol for the which the pre-orders are actually filled!

:lol

I see what you did there.

All I did was say be careful. "Fear-mongering" is a little extreme. Judging by the amount of Iron Man and Cap Shield builds, I don't know that they're being so heavy handed. I guess you guys can afford to be Optimists.

I made a few things but obviously for legal reasons I can't reveal more. I can however share the Arc Reactor I made for production. ;)
